My checks have not been cashed since the USCIS received my AOS, AP and EAD packages on 08/01/07 and I have received nothing back.

I had called the "misinformation" line and they told me that I would have to wait 90 days for an inquiry to be made ... so I made an infopass appt for this morning.

The officer was not going to do anything blaming the backlog until I showed her the USCIS Receipt processing update from 09/14/07 stating that they had processed all received up to 08/30/07 .. she looked in the system and nothing has been recorded under my A# as being received sooo .. she photocopied my UPS confirmation and told me that someone would contact me within the next couple of days.

Wish me luck.

12/27/07 - AOS transferred to CSC

02/26/08 - 485's approved without interview

01/14/09 - Sent I-751 - removal of conditions

02/23/10 - Biometrics

03/17/10 - Removal of conditions approved .. card production ordered

05/09/08 - I-485 Approved (Email - Welcome Notice mailed)

05/20/08 - PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD ARRIVED IN THE MAIL

I am on the same boat. However, I applied on 9/1/2007 and they recieved the package on 9/6/2007 according to the USPS. I am waiting same as you for them to cash my check. I also called and they said the wait is 90 days, which is ridiculos. I thought the new rates will make the process go faster and not slow it down!!!

6-11-2007 - Packet 4 was sent out (No packet 3)

7-5-2007 - Interview Date PASSED the Interview

7-10-2007 - Will go to pick up the visa. Thank you GOD

09-04-2007 I-485 & I-765 sent.

09-06-2007 Package was delivered to the Chicago Lockbox.

As of now now check cashed yet, and no notice of action !!! Very frusturating.

10/22/2010: Status Changed Online "Request for evidence" It was for Biometrics.

10/25/2010: Request for evidence recieved "Biometrics Notice".

I had not heard anything from USCIS so I called them yesterday ... they still didn't have an answer for me and put through another request .. told me to call back on Friday if I haven't heard anything .. totally unbelievable!!!

I'm seriously considering refiling with the new fees in order to procure an AP to be able to make it home for Christmas ... times a tickin. What would happen if I put a stop payment on the first set of checks and refiled and then they decided to put the checks through? I'm in limbo .. what would you do?

Good luck with your processing. I finally got something from USCIS yestereday after filing first couple of days in August.....we were disappointed with the 'rejection' notice. Amazingly enough, we had submitted our I-130 end of July to the Vermont filing station, but sent our Adjustment and Advanced PArole doc's to Chicago (as instructed on the forms) and we our rejection was because we didn't include the I-130 information with the Chicago package.

Basically this means that left hand and right hand of USCIS have not been introduced and I didn't see anywhere that I should have done anything differently. Concurrent filing was referenced over and over again.

I guess my advice would be when filing concurrently submit all paperwork to the same place (even though different info is given on the forms about where to mail) and provide a separate check for each (as applicable under the new fee guidelines) because it will all get returned even if only 1 form is incorrect if you pay with 1 check...

Hope to refile soon, but I need to get my NSC# and my 787 from USCIS to include with the package as proof that it was submitted...

Its an amazing paradigm....doesn't elicit much confidence that there systems aren't cross referenced...

I would go to the Infopass appointment, and if I learned that they still had no idea, I'd refile with the new fees on the grounds that the delay in getting the EAD is now a greater cost than the extra couple hundred bucks.
