Or they misread it. when i got my passport we had to tell them that "late" meand "passed away". So that they knew my mom had sole custody of me.

When you sent the copies of your passport, did you include the pages with the Entry/Exit stamps?

Did you submit a copy of your passport as proof of citizenship, or did you also submit a copy of your Birth Certificate?

What evidence did you submit to prove you met? Did you submit copies of boarding passes, passport stamps, hotel receipts, and photos?

Before you (or anyone else) start blaming "them", make sure you provided the proper and correct amount of evidence!

Since no one knows for sure the reason(s) why the USCIS is asking the OP to resubmit certain documentation all over again, let's instead speculate. Could it be that it has conflicting, incorrect or missing info? Is it highly credible, or convincing enough? Does it meet certain criteria to perhaps even be considered?

How can the USCIS be the one to blame or at fault in this situation?

I can understand your annoyance here, especially with all the illegals looking for and probably will get eventually a free ride. I would just resubmit the information that they are asking for and hope that there will be no further delays.

Good luck and remain strong.

Thank you

If it makes you feel any better this has happened to others - they get RFE'd for things they say they've already sent - the only thing you can do is send the info AGAIN - once they have what they need they can move forward with your case - there's no point stressing over it - I know how annoying it can be - but there's nothing you can do except comply with their request. As others have said part of the petition may have become detached and rather than go hunting for it - which could take WEEKS (if you've seen their 'office' you know they store stuff in WAREHOUSES), they've asked you to re-submit which is by far the quicker route.

Best of luck with it :)

we received a request for a "missing" birth cert, my daughter swears she sent it but they eithere lost it or it was misplaced. Just end what they want and the sooner you do so the sooner you will get the notification that they have received it and then they can move on with your petition.

From the day they notified us what they required to the day they let us know they had received it was 16 days, and my son-in-law returned it to CSC by snail mail :bonk: But all is well that ends well and now we are waiting for the approval

The funny part is I included what their asking for. I also highlighted the information?

any idea?

Unfortunately, this is fairly common with the USCIS. They obviously have a bunch of (poorly) trained chimps going over the applications.

I recall one person on here a few months ago who got an RFE for something he had sent in the original I-129F application. He got another copy of the item and send it back to them again. They then denied his application because they said it was missing, even though he had sent it to them twice. He wrote a really nasty (but funny) letter (that he posted online here for us all to read) and sent it to them, knowing he had nothing to lose at that point. The letter pointed out their incompetence, and asked why he had received an RFE, then a denial for something he had provided twice. They sent him back an NOA2 in reply (no explanation given).

I agree with others, things do get misplaced or lost. IF you already submitted all that they have requested in the RFE then my advice is to resubmit the evidence of having met in the required 2 years. Or is their request more ambiguous then that? Perhaps if you post exactly what the RFE stated we may be able to assist more. As for the passport, it is my understanding that when being submitted with a petition for proof of US citizenship then it must be copies of every page, including the blank pages, and also front and back cover. Is this what you submitted?
