I've heard that there are certain POE that my wife could come through that will make it to where she could work immediately. If this is true then which POE's are these? I don't want her working immediately ( so that she has time to acclimate), but she's very eager to be employed over here and we know it could be quite a wait otherwise for her to seek legal employment. Just throwing it out. Thanks as always.

AT JFK they only give you a temporary stamp that I believe is good for 90 days. After it expires your wife will need her EAD or AOS approved so she can continue working in the US.

Yep JFK sometimes gives the 90 day work Stamps,but no garuntees of getting it.

Igot an EAD stamp on my I-94 on Las Vegas Mccarran International Airport but i haven't tried to apply for a job. Things are different here, you have to have a driver's license before you can get a job, i dont know in other States though.

how can that possibly be true? what about people who never learn to drive; does that mean they can never work? seems unbelievable :blink:

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

She did say she wasn't sure about other states. I don't think that's going to be the case nationwide. I have a friend who's husband doesn't drive and he has a job. She takes him to and from. As soon as they get moved, he'll be able to walk to work.
