How do you know if the 184 or 230 forms have been sent out?

Hi all,

very very quick question. My case is currently at the NVC and we have reached the stage where both bills ( 184 and the 230) have been generated and paid by us.

I have been checking on the Automated voice system but it doesn't seem to be providing any updates since 27th Aug? < i called yesterday again and same message>

We sent in the payment for the 184 on the 22nd of Aug. I called and spoke to an agent on the 10th Sept and they have confirmed that the 184 payment was received on the 7th Sept. So why haven't they updated the phone system? Is this normal to wait close to 2 weeks before the fee is inputted into their system?

How do i know if the forms have been generated by the NVC?

I am thinking of trying James shortcuts. THis waiting is driving me nutty!..lol..

If the automated message is not giving you any information, you HAVE to call again and speak with a live person and ask them when the I-864 and DS-230 will be generated and mailed to the choice of agent. Don't assume they havent' been just because it's not in the automated message.
