LS, did you have a sonicare before this one?

Is it a much better improvement of the old version, or did you go from a manual tb to this one?

I was in Target yesterday and the 9500 was 114 plus tax.

I'm wondering how good the cheaper, battery operated ones?

Not sure. All I know is I had a plaque problem up until I started using the Sonicare and now have very little plaque buildup.

Should be the same technology. I like the 2 minute timer (timer adjustable on my model). it breaks the brushing down to four 30second segments. With a manual brush I never brushed for very long. But I always brush for 2 minutes now since there was such a clean feeling with the sonicare.
