Great news for those August filers -- we filed our I-130 on August 14, received our NOA1 on December 21, and got APPROVED YESTERDAY. Hold on tight -- maybe Vermont is now moving.

Oh by the way -- we were never able to access our case online since we received the NOA1 on December 31 -- just kept getting that the number was not valid. I checked this morning and the APPROVAL NOTICE popped up.

I have yet to receive an email notification or anything.

Big congrats to everyone approved!

I filed on same day as you, August 14, but at CSC. Hopefully, more good news are coming soon to all.

VSC is NOT at mid-September. There are a few cases which have been approved but for most of us who filed between July and August it is still undetermined when our cases will be approved. We talked to our Congressman again and all he could say was that he would be watching the case. But nothing has happened so far. Not even a 'touch'- nada, nothing. So, we still have to pray and keep hopeful that USCIS will be working on our cases soon(ish).

Yeah, No touch here either...by the way folks how are you guys filinf taxes this year if your spouse is over seas. Are you filing jointly or married filing separately. I was told to go for the 2nd option but wasnt sure what to use for SS#. My wife dont have tax payer id since she has never been to US. I called IRS and got 3 answers. 2 telling me to file 1040 and put under wife's SSN as "NRA outside US". One person told me that i have to have tax payer id. Anyone has any clue on this? I dont need to file as married filinf jointly. I want to keep it simple and get it over with. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Susie, good to hear back from you..sorry been so busy with projects and meetings. How r things? Actually i want to file "Married filing Separately". So in that case i dont need to do anything? except put "NRA" where SSN is needed? AND Did you mail in the 1040 cause i was trying to use taxactonline for e-filing and it doesn't allow anything but numbers in SSN column.
