susie,

even though you where jocking about the job, i do feel like quiting mine and go work for USCIS lol

Anish,

Hun, I was not joking thats the best part......I really applied online IM DEAD SERIOUS, why the hell not, I got most of the forms down by heart, the timelines and the babble, hell I dont need training, Im already there.

HOHOHO - I dont know what to say - well yes on pee in their helmets thats a given, but for your timeframe, there are only a few before you that have not received, I just dont know. FIFO comes to mind in an argument stand point, but who do we argue with, surely not USCIS for they can't even figure out what they are talking about to have a decent debate.

Have you tried the congressman route and if not, do you refile, I dont think so cause then you are in another wait and see situation I just dont know. Friend of mine spoke with VSC today and they basically confirmed the one year timeline from date of NOA1 - but again, could be less could be more, no one knows anymore and I think that is the crux of this whole matter, there is no correct information being given, from their website nor from their employees. The best we have right now is VJ and its good, we can find out exactly what is going on with issues,,,,,,I just dont know. You may want to try posting a new thread in asking this question.

Feeling for you and how did we get our NOA1 - rolled a seven on the dice table hun, that about sums it up-

Ah man, HOHOHO i am really sad and upset to hear about your case. Susie, do you know any others who haven't received NOA1 besides alto.d and HOHOHO. If so may there is still hope for these guys since it might not be just them alone. Anyhow, pity that USCIS don't care a bit about people like us... after making us wait for so long and then some of us have to hear about papers getting lost... TOTAL HELL...........

You're not alone HOHOHO, there are few people from last week of July who haven't received NOA1. I'll try to post the list by tomorrow. They told me the lost file story when I called after 90 days. Good luck and I hope you get your NOA1 by Monday. We'll check the receipt update tonight and see what that says.

Good Luck!

Sent I129F on Jan 2nd overnight USPS. Yesterday, got NOA1 for I129F in the mail dated Notice Date January 4, 2008. So pretty much took 2 days to log it in. Of course my wife and I were SHOCKED to see VSC at work doing the right thing.

Problem is they misspelled my wife's last name. They ate a vowel. H White, can I buy a vowel for 300, please?...So I called today and talked to Cust Svs. Guy took the info down, name, address, phone, e-mail, issue and sent a Service Center to VSC to correct. Gave me a ticket number. Said give it take 45 days to apply correction. I asked if review process would be delayed he said no. Now we wait.

Hi SusieK,

Are you referring to us as bunch of losers, Ehehehheh. Well, we have to share information among us because the USCIS misinformation line is confusing everyone and good for nothing. I hope this would help people calm down a bit about lost file.

LMAO good one  - we only lose when we stop trying........and you are spot on about the misinformation hotline. I spent an hour with someone last night that thinks that their file could be lost, but sent your timeframe spreadsheet to him this morning - if you can help one person, then you have made a niche for yourself.

Hi everyone

I m an Indian Citizen and my husband is a US citizen

We got married in August 2007 in India

My husband has filed all the paper work needed for wife immigrant visa and he got NOA-1 with my new last name (his last name) but I have a valid passport with my old name as single will that be a problem for issuing the visa?

Question – 1:- Is it necessary that PASSPORT MUST MATCH EXACTLY WITH THE NAME ON THE VISA?

Question - 2:- Do I have to make a fresh passport with my new last name and marital status?

Please reply at the earliest

Kind Regards :help:

I think that is why there are different forums within VJ.com for different visas :) If people paid attention to the name of the forum they might just post in the right place and prevent such confusion. And then we wouldn't give uscis a chance to vent on vj'ers. :)

The forum say August / September I-130 2007 Filers not CR-1/ IR 1 forum. You should be aware of that the K3 people also file the same I-130 just the CR-1/IR1 people. Because of that it makes two list one I-130 list for K3 and one for CR1-1/IR1. All you have to do is request for the CR1/IR1 I-130 list instead of complaining because nobody is getting paid by you.

Here are the lists for both. :-)
