Is there anybody else out there who sent their I-130 on August and has not received the NOA1 yet? Because I sent mine on August and haven't received anything yet, and I am worried that my file was lost during transfering all the files from service centers to Chicago Loxbox :( I called the USCIS yesterday and the officer took my information (finally) and sent a letter to VSC for further investigation....

Still haven't got jack squat either.

I now feel un-married, like hoping I can win the lottery and one day have a wife. Cause what I have now is nothing.

This totally sucks, so much for FIFO. You guys should definitely call USCIS and raise hell. Keeping fingers crossed for you :(

Aye, best part is one person called USCIS, early September file, asked why FIFO did not apply, they said each application is different OMG - please - like they are looking at them when the contractor they hired to do just he scanning is actually an expert.

What will be next. No clue, and dont even want to know what they will come up, but posting on their website that Chicago is up to late September is a crock of shyte. Why do that to people when it is not true? Oh yes this one I have a clue, to make us go insane with this whole ludicrious process- :help: Bumps head on desk and says "wake up tis but a nightmare"

Anyone from August should be screaming and Alto mate, you should be yelling so loud right now to be heard. Tis wrong. I would yell for you but have lost my voice from waiting the four months myself. Your just so out of timeline here. I wish you a NOA1 like soon, and all others.

Cheers but sad :crying:

Yep, just have to just spit at that response as same happened to me, when you do the form to omsbdman, tell on a separate piece of paper that I would not be send this piece of ####### to you if I had a receipt number..sorry you cant say that but tis the anger in me speaking...but you get my drift - send a copy to congress person also.

I filed on August 17th at VSC, and got a receipt notice (NOA1) dated December 21.

When I logged onto the USCIS site to check the status, it said that my file is now at the California service center. Did anyone else get that? Think it´s strange?

Anyway, does anyone think that the delay is in the early stages and the rest of the process will go according to a regular time schedule (8-10 months, I am guessing)? Or do you think that there will be these delays throughout the rest of the process?

I've got my NOA1 by mail today. They assigned case number but when I go online to chek it it says: "Case Status Retrieval Failed".

Any advise?

Just wait a few days - same thing happened to me and a couple of days later it worked.

 Surprised that you got to access case online, and blown away that its now in California - you are defin on the course for high USCIS sky miles. I can't even think to give you an answer on this one.

Anyway, does anyone think that the delay is in the early stages and the rest of the process will go according to a regular time schedule (8-10 months, I am guessing)? Or do you think that there will be these delays throughout the rest of the process?

I finally called USCIS.... after a jungle gym of 32094820934723947091283740923874320947239047309487230948723904712934087219048723

498237492134812734098237409127412094723948 phone tree options and waiting on hold I got one rep, who regurgitated the same fn ####### that is on the web site, BOO HOO BOO HOO poor us too many applicaton boo fn hoo, blah blah. Then finally she put me on hold for about 45 minutes and I finally talked to a rep (who had TeRRRibe engreish sskills ) and she finally looked up my name.... because she said I SHOULD have got NOA a long long time ago. Well, no record of me in the system. wonderful.

She suggested putting in a service request which I did.... seemed to think it LIKELY is lost, BUT I'll first have to WAIT about 1 month for them to "LOOK INTO IT". She said afte that (which they are likely to find it was thrown in garbage) I'd have to START OVER FROM SCRATCH and send in brand new check and I-130, and start the whole fcking waiting game all over.

I hope families of all this bastards die a miserable death.

I have NO idea what I'm going to tell my wife. If she's crying everyday now, what joy will this bring her.

FFS they are cruel and mornic in the same sentence....they will put a trace on you HOHOHO and you will get the famous email stating, in order to find your application please supply your receipt number.... I got this and said FO, sent it to the Omsbdmn for review....just showing him that I was calling because I DID NOT HAVE A RECEIPT NUMBER and they would trace down my application - I got this answer back from USCIS for the receipt number in exactly one week. When they say you are not in the system, of course not, neither are we even though we have that elusive NOA! - go figure that on the keyboard.....Totally out of control they are now.

Susie

p.s applied today at USCIS for a job, think I may get kicked out of the system because of pending I-130? Oh wait, no its not in the system yet. All will be good  I will get the job because the time that they do background check and such my I-130 will be wandering around the country so I just ordered an "APPROVAL STAMP" actually got two with tons of ink.....

I feel I have NO options now.

Should I start from scratch and file for a generic fiance visa?

How did you get NOA then? Just long wait and they DIDN'T lose your paperwork.

I'm more confused helpless and pissed off than ever.

HOHOHO - I dont know what to say - well yes on pee in their helmets thats a given, but for your timeframe, there are only a few before you that have not received, I just dont know. FIFO comes to mind in an argument stand point, but who do we argue with, surely not USCIS for they can't even figure out what they are talking about to have a decent debate.

Have you tried the congressman route and if not, do you refile, I dont think so cause then you are in another wait and see situation I just dont know. Friend of mine spoke with VSC today and they basically confirmed the one year timeline from date of NOA1 - but again, could be less could be more, no one knows anymore and I think that is the crux of this whole matter, there is no correct information being given, from their website nor from their employees. The best we have right now is VJ and its good, we can find out exactly what is going on with issues,,,,,,I just dont know. You may want to try posting a new thread in asking this question.

Feeling for you and how did we get our NOA1 - rolled a seven on the dice table hun, that about sums it up-
