I too believe in the batch theory. If not, people would not be getting the generic answer. Some have been told that they have been assigned and others not so I think we need to cross our fingers....your approval is around the corner

Just strange that all of a sudden the RFE trick has amazing success

Not for me. I tried the RFE trick but after checking my file the lady at VSC became rude and told me this line is not used to check case status - and then hung up.

Where do you find the number for the VSC? I thought you could only call USCIS worthless customer service.

Thanks so much Byron, I'm a May filer waiting on CSC. Haven't received any touches since 5-30-07. I called USCIS service center a week ago and was given the same old line,, "still within the normal processing times" Got to love the Government when they can approve a green card to a immigrant worker in as little as a month and we are sitting here on our thumbs patiently waiting to get our loves ones here. Just doesn't make any sense. Well, thanks again for the numbers. Here's wishing you a speedy NOA2 soon. Best wishes to you and yours.

I think that after seeing the approvals raining on us, this theory that it might not be true about the officer not having my case is out the window..
