Its always good idea to attend the interview. By attending the interview, you eliminate the risk of the consulate requesting a joint interview...which could take months and cause an unnecessary delay.

About the age difference…I’m sure you love each other but keep in mind that YOU know you love each other but not the person interviewing you. The objective is to convince the Consulate that your relationship is genuine. You will be fine though. Every consulate has a textbook set of questions they ask. For example: When did you met? How? What is his/her address, occupation, name of friends, etc. From my experience, its very important to remember dates!

Good luck :) :) :)

I am hoping to be with my hubby at his interview as well - am actually delaying filing b/c I can't go back to Nepal until May next year so trying to time everything carefully, given average processing times. We also have a big age gap(he is 16 yrs younger than me) so I figure my being there will help our case as well. :)

Thanks Sau, would love to hear what you have learned - am just in the preparation stages now, getting all of our evidence and forms together... Where is the best place to get affadavits signed in KTM? Does hubby have to go to the CDO(like we did for our court marriage) or is there an easier place to get it done? I have another question about the affadavits but will post it as a separate question to see if anyone else can answer...

Today is our 3-month wedding anniversary, our first season together(yet apart)... I MISS MY HUSBAND.....
