what if divorced after filing N-400? deadline?

Hi,

I have two questions here.

1.What if divorced after filing N-400? report to immigrant agency and they will return the application fee?

2. If don't want to file N-400 now under the 3 years or 5 years requests... can I file N-400 whenever I want ,say 6 or 8 years later?

1, They wont return the fee. They may question you about this.

2, Yes, you can file any time after meeting the residency requirement in the USA.
