My husband is leaving the US temporarily to live in Pakistan with me while our I-130 and I-129F applications are being procesed. Our case is stuck in a background check and its been over 1.5 years. We dont want to be separated anymore and are willing to take the risk of him moving to Pakistan for the time being. The question that we have is this:

  • 1. Does he need to change address with the USCIS?
  • 2. Is there any other process that needs to be completed before he moves?

Please note that we already understand the financial and domicile requirements for the petitioner. Our questions are to find out if there are any other steps that he needs to take before makin the move.

Thanks for all your help

1, It is recommended that the US Citizen maintain his US Domicile, so use a USA address, this can cause a problem later at interview time if the consulate proceeds with the IR-1 visa instead of the K-3. In order for a US citizen to sponsor an immigrant, the US Citizen MUST maintain US domicile. (FILE IRS returns, prove that he has a domicile to return to) And probably will need a Joint sponsor that is living in the USA.

2, No process needed

Same question came up earlier: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...c=88422&hl=

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.
