what does that mean exactly when they want to see that your loved one from another country is coming to be a public charge or that they have fears he will ? what do they look at for that??

Are you sure that you have written exactly what they say?

Becoming a public charge would be someone that has to rely on the govenment for assistance with money or housing ect to sustain thier life. They want to be sure that does not occur. This is the purpose of the 864 form.

They look at the petitioners income, and evidence that the petitioner is financially able to support the intending immigrant.

Definition of Public Charge

An alien who has become or is likely to become "primarily dependent on the government for subsistence, as demonstrated by either the receipt of public cash assistance for income maintenance, or institutionalization for long-term care at government expense."

Cash assistance is defined as Supplemental Security Income (SSI), cash Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and state or local cash assistance programs (general assistance). Public assistance, including Medicaid, for immigrants institutionalized for long-term care will also be considered in a public charge analysis.
