Oh no, sorry....Hopefully it wont take long. My friend was put on AP in Lagos, but hers only lasted 2 weeks. We went through the embassy in Liberia and were put on AP for a week. Everyone is different, though. Alot of people in MENA have been on AP for months. Did they tell him what it was for?

Here is some info on AP from this thread.

Administrative Processing: Means once you have interviewed it is in security checks for any of these situations: you have had a name hit in one of the many data bases, background checks for fraud, or has missing and incomplete information that must be submitted and the rechecked. Processing is more in depth and than the review process and there is no time limit for this processing to complete. Administrative processing can last a few days or months and in some cases it has endured for years.

I think all you can do now is wait. I don't think there is a form to fill. You may have better insight as to what you need to do once you get the letter from your husband.

Good luck.

There is no form to fill out for Administrative Processing or Administrative Review.

Has anything been checked on the paper they gave him ? Did they say he needed to bring anything additional ? If not then there is

nothing you can do for now.

They will contact you when they are ready to proceed.

AP / AR can take weeks or months, each case is unique and there is no predictable time length.

AP /AR can be security checks, background checks, document verification or home investigation.

You won't get any specific answer of why you are in AP.

You can periodically call DOS at 202 663 1225 and ask for case status update.

Hoping you get out of AP soon (F)
