Have to say I'm not sure where you got that from what I wrote. Society has changed sure - you're the one who seems dead set on it being 'significantly worse', and backing it up with spurious justifications like aesthetics (which is next to impossible for you to prove).

Gezz I wonder why everyone I have ever spoken to who was around back then tells me how you could leave your milk money, for example, without it being stolen. Nowadays you couldn't leave 10 cents out without someone stealing it and whatever it is sitting on, which is not secured to the ground. Let alone leave things like a door or window unlocked.

There are plenty of examples actually. People didn't go around suing each other for the smallest dumbest thing. EG No ###### McDonalds coffee is hot and can burn.. People where not out to ###### over the government and certainly did not have a give-me give-me give-me attitude... Neighbors where like family. You could leave your kid to play in the front yard without worrying about them being kidnapped. You didn't have hookers like the one trying to sue southwest whining because they refused to fly her for showing off her walmart underwear to other passengers. Then again no skanky 17 year old would dress like that and actually think she is cool and hot..

The proof of what I am saying can, to this day, be seen in traditional small towns.

how do you know the airplane girl was a hooker, just because she's wearing a mini-skirt? hey, I think you have to go to the living room, I love lucy is gonna start on tv.. if you think mini-skirts and clothing not suited to your tastes is synonim for a hooker.. man.. u have problems.. this is not 1800

LOL, go to any 'traditional small town' in the south.. you'll see the girls showing more skin than in a big city, and, u know what, they're not hookers..

Judging from my memories of way back then, indeed it was. Actually, as it was a male activity, I can't really truthfully say I participated either, but I had a friend who, not wanting to be 'outdone' by the boys, did try.

Without knowing the details of what all these terms mean you really can't judge what is going on.

I remember when I started kindergarten there was a little girl I found attractive. For some reason I always stared at her and would go talk to her. I got a 'funny,' feeling, but I had no concept of nudity, sex, or any of that stuff.

In first grade I had a neighbor girl I was also attracted too. We'd meet up and touch and play without adults around, but that wasn't overtly sexual.

Little girls and boys learn from an early age that girls are different. I'm sure if adults saw kids doing the 'show me yours and I'll show you mine thing,' or playing doctor, some would freak out.

If it is children being curious an adult has many ways of clearing and explaining things. It's not like some teenager or adult encouraging them or God forbid, child abuse.

The media lives off sensationalism. It could very well be the boy was abused if he's doing overt sex acts because he is just repeating the learned behavior from some pervert and if that's the case they need to investigate and step in.

In my case it was just innocent curiosity from a very early and for some reason I never found girls 'ikky,' or offensive. Wasn't attracted to guys the same way and was not abused, so the idea of any type of actual sex act was beyond my imagination - at least until 13 or so years old.

i think it's not uncommon.. i've read about it, i dunno if its 6 years old, but about kids showing interest or curiosity on the opposite sex genitalia, or differences among them..

Sounds like pretty "normal" behavior to me. Seems strange to consider one's own experiences as being the standard for normalcy...

Group I: Natural and Healthy Sexual Play

Normal childhood sexual play is an information gathering process. Children explore — visually and through touch — each other’s bodies (for example, play doctor), as well as try out gender roles and behaviors (e.g., play house). If children are discovered while engaged in sexual play and are instructed to stop, their sexual behavior may, to all appearances, diminish or cease, but it generally arises again during another period of the child’s sexual development.

The range of sexual behaviors in which children engage is broad; however, not all children engage in all behaviors: some may engage in none, and some may only engage in a few. The sexual behaviors engaged in may include: self-stimulation and self-exploration, kissing, hugging, peeking, touching, and/or the exposure of one’s genitals to other children, and, perhaps, simulating intercourse, (a small percentage of children, 12 or younger, engage in sexual intercourse.) Because of this broad range of possible sexual behaviors, diagnosing a child on sole basis of their sexual behaviors can be misleading. Ionescu, you really are childish. You came jumping in here and claim that no child you know has ever gone around naked, or discovered the ####### and gone, hey, you have one of these too? You are all, "no, can't happen, if there is nakedness, it's perverted and wrong". I point to one common occasion where the boys act in a somewhat vulgar, but totally non sexual way, and it's all, "ooh, you pee all over your friends, what a fool you are." Then, when it's clear you are begnning to run out of sense, you go all, "it wasn't me, I didn't do it, I wasn't even talking to you."
