It's worth it, but I understand why you seem frustrated. I would rather cut off my right hand than not go through with this K1 stuff because I truly love my fiancee. But the process has been so stressful that at times I have been ill. Part of this is because my case has some complications and in dealing with Vietnam we may get slapped down.

But we will cross that bridge when we come to it.

There's a deleted one?? Aww I missed it..... :P

Is it worth it? To us, yes it was... it was worth waiting five years! Waking up in the morning to see my husband lying next to me is worth it... knowing we can go wherever we want to go together without worry is worth it... our home and our three beloved kitties say it's worth it... yes it's a stressful process and it can take a long time, but in the end if you really love someone and want to spend the rest of your life with them, it's worth it... a year or two is a very small fraction of an entire life.

The fact that I have to spend so long away from him... that we're at the mercy of government beauracracy just to be able to be together... it all sucks.

You really do have to cross all your Is and dot all your Ts, but I think with the RFE process they do give you plenty of opportunity to prove your case.

Will it be worth it when we finally don't have to make tearful goodbyes at airports? When I can wake up next to him every day, spend my life with him, see the world with him?

Yes, I think he's worth it.

Most amazing of all is that he thinks I'm worth it too. And he's got the bigger sacrifice to make: he's leaving his home, his life, his job, his friends, his family... all of that for an unknown potential; a potential life with me.

If you love this girl... really really love her, you'd know it was worth it too.

can see your point of how hard it can be. How easy it can be stopped for any number of reasons. But when you stop and think of him/her smiling next to you holding there hand into yours all the little set backs are worth it. How your heart races when you think of being together for ever and growing old with someone is 1 million times better then being alone.

To anwser your question YES it is worth it for TRUE LOVE

I was frustrated somewhat like this over the weekend....but YES IT'S DAMN WORTH IT!!!

There will always be highs and lows...and the lows are much worse cos we're alone without our other halves...but once it's over & we're all back together...not one of us would question whether it was worth it or not.

Check out Lizaanne's beautiful poem. It might give you the strength you need when you're low...I know it did to me!

Awe

I am in awe of love that knows no boundaries

Knows no color

Knows no language other than that of the heart

Knows no limits

I am in awe of love that fights for what it needs to live

In spite of distance

In spite of time

In spite of worldly barriers

I am in awe of love that survives

In the face of hardship

In the face of bureaucracy

In the face of opposition

I am in awe - speechless - amazed.

We love.

We know what is right.

We will not give up.

And in the end, through tears, heartbreak, separation, loss……

There is love. And we are finally - at last - together.

~Liza

Best of luck, I hope this horrible feeling passes asap!

No offense meant here but if you're even considering it may not be worth trying to do something like this then you're basically saying she isn't worth it. True love conquers all even immigration. And like others have said you do not get a denial for minor mistakes or forgetfulness its an RFE...sure it delays you a bit but it isn't a denial. Before you even start to consider this process I'd consider reviewing your relationship and ask yourself if it's strong enough to get through this. Consider both options, I'm unsure how easily/hard it is to go to china but again its another option you can put on the table. Find out as much as you can and weigh them up. Not only that but one of you will have to face leaving a place you've always known and family. Also their isn't just the K-1 but it does have the shortest waiting time. Read up on the guides they do help...

It was worth it for me and Andy. Six years apart until we started this process. We have many complications but we have no doubt on our love for each other. Have faith in God that he's working away up their ready to bring us the happiness we've longed for for years. We believe one day we'll be together ... even despite illness we made a promise the first year we met....if we can't be together on earth.....we'll be together forever in the stars...and we'd wait for each other forever if thats what it took.

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything
