Actually, some of you who have yaoo photos know what i am talking about.

yahoo is shutting down its phot service and can move the photos to the following:

flickr

kodak gallery

snapfish

photobucket

shutterfly

Anybody know anything about these?

We've been using Photobucket...seems pretty good. The upload time is pretty fast and file size limit seems big enough for my 6 megapixel camera. :)

Flickr ftw, especially with a pro account.

for my wedding pictures i used the kodakgallery, then ordered a cd with the pics in original size..

bad thing is usually all those sites reduce the size of the pic, and u cant get the original unless u order a cd..

Flickr with a pro account, will keep your photos in the original size. Assuming you upload the file at full size and don't resize it. Non-pro accounts do too, but there is a lower limit on how large of a photo you can upload. So you may have to resize your photos anyway.

the flickr pro account is free for transfered yahooo photos. i understand. but i am not sure if that is for a limited time then $$ annual fee?

I use both shutterfly and costco photo. You can pick up picks at any costco in an hour.

Annual fee is $25. Not sure what the terms are of the transfer from yahoo photo.
