I-134. PLZ HELP

I posted this question in the K-3 forum section and no one was able to really help me. so i am trying my luck here.

Well i am a graduate student and i only work part time so my income is not sufficient to sponser my husband, however, being a petitioner I will add an I-134 from my behalf.

anyow, my parents will be sponsering my husband. their income TOGETHER meets the guidelines requirment but separately their income does not. WHAT SHOULD I DO? do i have three I-134's filled out(one from me, one from dad, one from my mom) :wacko:

or do i just do my I-134 and send one from one dad, including my mom's income, and only list her as a dependent. plzz advice.

Sorry I just saw your post now... I guess no one has been in your situation. Yes, better to contact a lawyer. By the way, do your parents file a joint tax return? If so, you can probably just give one I-134 for a co-sponsor, maybe... :unsure:

my parents do file jointly, the home is joint ownership, and all their bank accounts are joint. i will see professional help.. hate to be wrong at this. anyway, thanks

I don't know if this helps - my parents filed for my grandmother recently and they submitted only one I-134 since they file taxes jointly and co-own the house.

Do let us know what your lawyer said.

wouldn't ur parents have filed an i-1864 for your grandmother. just curious

I checked with them and they said it was I - 134 :unsure: double checked that it was for her visitors, they are now getting ready to file her immigrant visa - so yea they will now file I-864. In any case, they got advice from someone who said they should submit only one - combined.
