filed since July 15th BUT haven't received the receipts or any Notification

Hi everyone,

This is about my mother. She got married with the US citizen and filed the petition (I-485, I-130, I-765) since July 15th through the attorney. She have not receive any NOA or anything in the mail until now. I've seen most of you guys who filed in July got the receipts already. We called the USCIS and they told us to wait until September. Until now, we still have not heard anything from them. I wonder if there's anyone that still haven't got the receipts? When you file through attorney, who will get the notice in mail? You, the lawyer, or both?

We sent ours July 13th and it arrived on the 16th... we had our NOA fairly quickly.

The question really is: when was it received in Chicago?

In your mother's case, the problem is that since she didn't even come with a K1 or K3 she has no A# and therefore not much to have them search about her case.

Tell her to put her name and her husband's on the mailbox (just in case, it always helps). That's all I can think about.

Are you able to see if the checks were cashed?

They received my package on 08/01/07 and they have not cashed my checks or sent me anything. I called the info line and they told me that I would have to wait 90 days for an inquiry .. I made an infopass appointment for this Thursday.

I'm not sure if she said she sent money orders. Not checks for sure. I told her to call the bank she got them from but she haven't called them yet.
