Hello,

I just have a few more questions on the I-134. I know that they have probably been answered already but I just want to be sure some of the posts I saw were kind of old.

I have my tax transcripts that I ordered from the IRS are these all I need or do I need my W-2's also if so can these be ordered through the IRS and are they free?

I also read somewhere that the transcripts need to be notarized is this necessary?

Also is getting a bank letter stating how much you have in your account a requirement? What if the poverty guidelines are met through just your income do you have to state how much you have in the bank?

What if you really don't have much in your bank account?

One last thing if a letter is a requirement from the bank what are the things should it include?

I'm far from that right now, but this is what I have planned :

1) 6 months paycheck stubs (work for the government, so has all deductions/payments/taxes on it, Year To Date)

2) 1 Bank Statement from 7/31/07 (Snapshot summary) stating more money I have that can be used for requirements

3) 1 Year File Tax (is 1 year enough? I thought that would just look at the most recent year)

Not yet, but thinking about...

4) letter from employer stating your salary, Job title, # of years worked, their signature (and a higher level signature too)

Good questions. I too am well over the poverty guidelines, but do not have much money in the bank. I plan on submitting 3 yrs tax returns, a few paystubs, 3 months of bank statements, and a employer letter. Might be overkill, but I want the interview to go as easy and painless as possible. Better to have more information in the interview than to be missing something.

I do not know exactly what you need since I have read so many different posts on VJ. Everybody has submited something different.

I prepared 3 yrs of tax returns, W2s, bank statements for a year, earning statements. (3 pay periods) The Consulate took the bank statements and the earning statements. They did NOT take the tax returns or W2s.

All correct. If your income is sufficient, you can just skip all the asset related questions on the affidavit. No need for bank letters unless you need to use cash assets to substitute for not having enough income.

Transcripts or full tax returns inluding W2. No need for both.
