Yeah I really don't see what the problem is, they have a photocopy of my birth certificate and Ramy has a certified copy that I mailed him so if there's any question...geez. It just drives me bonkers that NVC entered it wrong in the first place...not like it's THAT hard of a name! They just see Mc and have a heart attack.

Divorced. To hell with him.

Doodle....I don't even have the words to say about how you are being jerked around. This whole process is truly an emotional roller coaster. The "Hurler", I think is quite the perfect name for it!!!!

I'm freaking out myself as Rome is "supposed" to update their list this Friday. I'm trying to convince myself that surely they wouldn't have been able to make the decision in the last couple of weeks and that it will probably still say "Ready for Ajudication". I don't even want to get my hopes up...you know? After 3 1/2 years...what's six more weeks...right????

Doodle, and the others........

Today I called DOS. I waited 20 minutes on the phone to talk to someone, and then when I actually got to speak to someone, she told me the case is on administrative processing. I asked her if the case was in the states yet, and she informed me that security checks are done back and forth between Cairo and here, so weather it is in Cairo or here makes no difference. I also asked if she could tell me what was holding up the administrative processing, and she told me they do not discuss this while the processing is being completed.

I was relieved to know that she at least had information on the case, and she knew what I was talking about.

However, I will say the lady was very pleasant to me, answered all my questions, and apologized for the long wait I had. It was frustrating being told the exact same thing I am told in the emails. I was really hopeing to hear something new I didn't know. Anyway, I figure it this way.......when he gets here, he gets here. So far from what I am reading here, I have not seen anyone denied a visa, but their visa is delayed for extended periods. Delay I can handle, denial would be heartbreaking.

Keep the faith.....

Sue

She's on the right track thinking it'll take forever.

Usually when I plan on waiting forever - things are quick. When I think it'll be quick - it takes forever.

It's a Law of Nature or something. You always get the opposite of what you expect ^_^

ugh!!!! I was going to call today but I've been down enough lately. If Cairo doesn't respond to my email by next week I'll call DOS again but I won't hold my breath.....

I hope Cairo doesn't hold our men's visas too much longer! Especially for you and Doodle and everyone else who has been waiting months.

I called again. Now the woman says the case has been going back and forth between Cairo. Its in Cairo now. I made her promise it has been to Washington and she said yes she promises but his clearances are not complete but its not there. She told me not to focus on where its at as it can go back and forth ... i feel obsessed I just can't believe this is the way things are. This system needs a major overhaul without a doubt! She kept teasing me aren't you the little detective. and I said what else do I have in my hand to do ... its been so long and I want my fiance with me.

Well that would explain the discrepancy in answers and the confusion on the part of the operators. I wonder why they do that though. Looks like we're both in the same boat!!! All I know is that i'm making bigtime dua for everyone that we get these visas IN HAND!
