need help (military expedite)

has anyone have an idea what is the content of a military expedite request letter from the command? or what am i supposed to include in the cover letter for military expedite request, i know that i need to put in the reason but i was wondering if there is a pattern for such request to be followed,(because i called my personnel office and ask for a letter but they told me that i have to type it myself and they will just sign it)

i am a usmc and about to be deployed to iraq in march and i am hoping to have my k1 visa expedited

hoping someone could help

I have just retired for the USAF on the first of this month. I didn't have to expedite mine but in your case...I think you might want to include your orders. But then again...I don't know how you guys (USMC), deal with your orders. For us, we don't get our orders until the last week prior to or the day of deployment because we're mostly deployed with large group of personnel. I think you might want to specify the reason, the length of your tour, and the month your are deploying. We all know that we can not be very specific on the dates, the exact amount of personnel, and the exact location for deployment. You might want to check with your unit or your public affair officer of what material or information can be submitted. I hope this might help you a bit. Take care and good luck. :thumbs:
