Estimated Processing dates

I was doing some looking around at other peeps timelines and I noticed something I don't understand. There is a large difference in the estimated processing dates for nearly identical timelines. For ex.: MrMrsKnight had a NOA1 date of March 12 and their estimated date is May 25. My NOA1 is March 14 but my estimated date is June 4. We are both going through Nebraska. Why the big difference? I realize this is nothing official and either could happen before the other but I was just puzzled at the big difference.

The estimated processing date is based on the Send-date, not the NOA1-date; you send your petition 8 days after MrMrsKnight and thus should be approved 8 days later. How you managed to get an NOA1 the day after sending it is beyond me, but it would indicate that you petition should be processed a day after MrMrsKnight's.

There were some discussion last year whether it would be better or more accurate to change that, but for whatever reason it stayed like that, probably to reflect the whole process (for I-130s filed at NSC or TSC there's a 4-6 week delay in NOA1 because they're forwarded to CSC). Anyway, sorry about all the info and I hope this answers your question.

My petition was received there on March 13 and NOA1 was the next day. Really don't remember the date it was mailed. I sent it via registerd mail and that was the date it was signed for. It prolly would be more accurate if they went by the NAO1 dates since before then the center does not offically have it.
