I-751 Form Returned, Panic

He everyone. I received my wife's I-751 form back from immigration today and they stated, I quote: "The Form I-751 you submitted has been revised. You must submit the Form I-751 with a Revision Date of 2/05/07."

I don't understand. The form I used states it is the I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence and it doesn't expire until 09/30/08. I downloaded the form from the download section of this web site. If the form on this site is not accurate, I highly recommend that it be removed from the site or updated with the appropriate form.

Since the form states that it doesn't expire until 09/30/08 I felt confident that it was the correct form. Now I'm panicking that we will not meet the necessary deadline and my wife will face deportation procedures if I do not get this corrected immediately.

Can anyone provide a little advice? Thank you so much!

sorry to hear about your troubles.

Downloads section of this website.

I have now gone to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services web site to find the form. I am even more confused now. It appears to be the exact same form. In the upper right hand corner it states: OMB No. 1615-0038; Expires 09/30/08. This is the same as the form I downloaded from this web site. Can someone direct me to which form I am supposed to be using?

Now with this set back, I am very concerned about missing the deadline. Is there any special steps I need to take now that our form was sent back? Thanks!

in addition.............

The USCIS web site states that: "Edition Date :07/30/07. Editions other than 07/30/07 and 02/05/07 are not acceptable."

The only form they have for the download has: "Form I-751 (Rev. 07/31/07"

NOT "07/30/07" as the instructions demand..

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

The new form also has a barcode at the bottom

Yes, Thank you. I see the barcode on the new form but, my fear is now that they are asking for either a Revision Date of 02/05/07 or 07/30/07. and the only form you can download from the USCIS site has a revision date of 07/31/07! God forbid I do all of this again and it still not accepted because of one day difference on the Revision date.

Where can I find a from with the other dates? Either 02/05/07 or 07/30/07?

I mailed out the I-751 (Rev 07/30/07)N

expires 09/30/08 on August 14. I have received my NOA1 dated 08/16/07.

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-751.pdf...this one seems to be the latest here. You should call them and find out what is going on.

Greetings!

We had the same problem, my application was sent back to me because i used a form that was not revised. I downloaded the form immediately from USCIS site ( nice bec. it is fillable). printed and send it back the same day. They did asked to used 2/05/07 form but the site at that time was 7/30/07. I got notice of action after 20 days. I also requested forms by mail same day just incase ....The forms i got by mail has a revised date of 7/31/07.

Goodluck,

Griffin

Thanks everyone. You have put me at ease. I was really worried. I have since filled out the new form with the 7/31/07 revision date and will be resubmiting all the paperwork tomorrow morning. I just hope this doesn't cause us anymore problems. It would be a shame to come all this way without any issues and get hung up at the last stage of the procedure. Thanks again everyone. Your resubmission (7/31/07) should be fine.
