:goofy: Hello everyone! Just wanted to let you know my hubbie has been down in Tampa for 3+ weeks working now and I will join him December 19th (after my daughter finishes her semester finals). He did fly up one weekend so that was nice to see him. Me and the kids are driving down for the 4 day Thanksgiving weekend.

We settled on Providence Place Apartments in Brandon (I had written Providence Park before and people said no. There is a Providence Park, but we are in Providence Place) and they had the prettiest landscape with mature trees, beautiful pools, gated, etc. This will probably be just for a year until we buy a house and decide what part of town we would like to live in. The port is only 9 miles from our apartment, so Keith is loving the drive time and saving gas money!!!

Anyhow, if we were to drive to Clearwater Beach (Pier 60) for a day when we are down there, what is the EASIEST/FASTEST route from Brandon?

Another Tampa question - if the Crosstown from Brandon is one way INTO town in the mornings and one way OUT OF town in the afternoons, what time does it change and what does it do on the weekends? THANKS! :goofy:

The express lanes of the Crosstown goes from Brandon into town only Mo - Fr from early morning (5am or so) until 10:00 am, I believe. It might be 9:00 am, I'm not a 100% on that. However, the remainder of the time, it goes from downtown to Brandon.

From Brandon to Pier 60, you'd probably best take I-75N to I-4W to I-275S to FL-60W which will take you right out to Clearwater. It does get crowded that way sometimes but Pier 60 is fun in the later afternoon. Beautiful sunsets and entertainment. Great combination.

Personally, I prefer St. Armand - it's about an hour and a quarter or so from Brandon just down on I-75. Here's a map.

Cheers,

Reinhard
