Hi Guys,

I wanted to see if anyone had any comments or suggestions in regards to the Advance Parole documents and traveling to Russia using them. We got ours a few weeks ago, 2 exact copies, not sure how they are used yet. Could anyone share their experience if you had any problems using them while trying to board a plane, especially in Russia, and if the Border People gave you any problems, and so on.

We were planning on traveling to Russia for the New Years, but I am afraid we would have problems on the way back, since I don't know if the Russians really know what that piece of paper is and are only looking at visas in the passports.

Thank you very much,

Mike.

We went to see my husband's parents last New Year's and used AP (his K-1 visa in his passport expired 2004 so I was concerned also). We even were flying out of a small international airport (Rostov)and they questioned us for a moment but after explaining to them what it was they let us through.
