Hey Guys :help:

Just a quick question. I'm planning a trip to Peru, I would love to leave next week (I got GREAT deal) but my green card expired on July 3rd ,I got the extension letter but still waiting for my 10 year green card, I keep checking the USCIS web site but not news for me. Is it possible for me to go without having any problem? I heard something about INFOPASS but I don't understand can somebody explain it to me?

Thank you in advance

The extension letter should be sufficient. Some people have gone for an INFOPASS appointment to get the stamp in their passport as insurance.

Cassie is correct.

The extension letter is really all that you need but it would be best to schedule an infopass appointment and attempt to get the stamp in your passport anyway. If they say "no" to the stamp, do not worry because the letter is sufficient.

Good luck.

Hey Vi! Claudia had no problem coming back from Colombia last month with just her expired green card and the letter. (Do remember to take the expired card!) She also took a copy of our marriage certificate just in case because her maiden name is on her Colombian passport. Que tengas un feliz viaje!!
