morning! missed suhoor 'cause i was too dang tired so my eyes are all droopy from no caffeine. wonder if they'd notice if I took a lil nap? Way back when we used to have a guy that sat diagonally from me and omg we could hear him SNORING!!! That was when all the bosses were at the other side of the building though and now they're kind of all in front of us. 6 hours and 40 minutes till quittin time. lol

I htink you should tell your boss, you have a some personal needs related to Ramadan that came up and you need to take a personal day (or hour or two) and go home and sleep

well Ramadan came during year end this year so unless you're about to die it's very much frowned upon to take a day off from now until November. I'm slowly waking up a bit.

1254 days to retirement. That is about 800 work days Wow, way too much time to burn

Ok I gotta say you're always praying for the weekend and hating the week....which is kind of normal but do you like your job even a little bit? If not why not look for something you enjoy doing? I mean seriously aren't you wishing the bulk of your life away otherwise?

Mondays are blah, but I"m happy to be back up walking around and here to bother you guys again! I'm sure you missed me. I helped Omar cook a little yesterday, but he sent me back to lay down as I was wearing myself out. My sister and her husband are her from Canada for the weekend. They leave tomorrow. I haven't seen her in about 4 yrs. Its nice to be able to visit with her and to meet her husband. So we made moroccan food for dinner. Chorba...yummy!

hey....possibly lol....life is going okay here..once it cools down i will take advangtage of getting out more but right now i like my ac. i will leave here Jan 12th Inshallah and be in ny until around March 8th or the 15th those are the two dates im looking at right now. i got a letter from his teacher in email today and she said even tho its only been 8 days of school, she thinks he is the greatest and said she'd take him home as one of her own in a new york minute...so my son has fooled yet another teacher...until the end of the year and he decides to play with his friends and flood the 5th grade bathrooms again having a water fight, or gangs up with some boys and gives other kids wedgies....ahh the joys, but yes usually he is a great kid. and she said i should be proud, she is right. i love my little one. he loves telling me about the new things he is learning and the new friends he is making since only a few kids are the same from last year in his class.

Maggie hope you are feeling better soon, how did the surgery go??

Dee i hope you get better soon and get some rest.....things have to get better.

Doodle hopefully you wake up and are productive at work, im sure year end is very stressful. get some rest tonight.

Yassmine hopefully your countdown goes fast.....try to enjoy life while you are counting down too.

I am hoping things went as planned. The doctor called me the day after the surgery, and the only thing I remember him telling me is that he had to do more work than planned and my sciatic nerve was wrapped around something it shouldn't have been but he got that redirected. I do know that the leg pain I had (like sciatica but all the way down into my foot at times) is gone. I just have a little around my hip but that's a far cry better than before. I'm walking around little by little and can almost get dressed by myself. Cant bend though so pants socks and shoes still require help. I've been out in the car a few times, but realized very fast that that is NOT where I belong!!

Monday...glorious Monday .....

NOT!!!!!!!!

I don't really mind Mondays and I don't really mind where I work...I'm just tired of HAVING to work all the time without any help due to short staffedness (lol that's an "amal-ism" if I ever wrote one).... I screwed up today by taking some pain medicine after suhoor so my fast doesn't count It makes me mad coz I didn't bring anything to work for lunch and I dunno how to get anywhere to buy lunch so I'm fasting anyway wether I want to or not. At least they have water so I don't have to be thirsty. I will try to wake up earlier tomorrow so I can take my medicine.

Pain sucks

Other than the one I posted the other day in the pinned section all of my recipes this weekend have flopped. One was "ok" and I'll be eating it tonight. It's a pesto minestrone. My kids hated it though 'cause they are used to me making it with tomatoes and this has no tomatoes. I won't even post it since it's not a real good one. I made beef stew last night too but undercooked it so that was also a flop. AND my daughters made brownies but forgot to butter the pan so we have to scrape them off. We need a personal chef!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
