:help: Hi:

My latest notices is from National Visa Center they fowared his approved I-129 to Guang Zhou China the week of 3/21/06. The letter says "Your fiance will soon receive a packet with instruction from the consular section at this post on how to apply for the K1 visa at that post and what documents will be required" Does anyone know how long it takes before he will receive the P3 package? Will I receive any notification in the US that the consulate received his approved I-129? If not, how will I know when the GZ consulate recieves it?

Wow, I thought the waiting part was tough .. but this not knowing whats next or when is even worse. Anyone with GZ experience .. I would REALLY REALLY appreiciate any information you can tell me about your process. I am a little worried about the I-129 because it expires on 6/27/06 and I heard that it takes a LONG time between the time GZ receives the petition until the interview? Should I be sending in the request to extention now?

I wish I knew about this site a long time ago .. this is great!!! :D

Allow a few weeks for pk3 to reach your fiance. From here on in all communication will go to your fiance from the Consulate. You can try to track your case on DHL but everything gets sent out on batches, easiest way is to call NVC and ask when they sent your case , then allow a few weeks from there. Do a timeline search to get a good idea of how long things take once the consulate receives the case.

Good Luck

To answer many of your questions check out this site Candle for Love; Which is dedicated to immigration process for China. Sample forms, Download P3 forms and FAQ's are a good start.

Check out my time line for when my SO received the P3. It could take a little longer for you, because I filed DCF or Direct Consulate Filing.
