Hi Jallen,

I would advice you to submit originals. We submitted originals with the I-129F application, and did not have any problem. For the interview, we submitted color copies, and were asked to submit them again.

It's always better to be on the safe side

Good luck!

Saludos,

Caro

Does it matter if I send original photos or if I scan 4 onto one page and print? The originals don't have the dates on the back, but there of us together as a family on a vacation and at our home, etc......

For the embassy interview we glued four originals on a sheet of paper with captions. Put four digitals on one sheet with captions. Total of 40 pics.

At the time we did our trip there was a question about the validity of using digital pics so we gave them both.

I never have seen where anyone had problems with scanned or digital pic prints tho.

I guess there was concern then as digitals are easy to fake.

taken from the Removal of Conditions instructions...

Submit copies of documents indicating that the marriage upon which you were granted conditional status was entered in ''good faith'' and was not for the purpose of circumventing immigration laws. Submit copies of as many documents as you wish to establish this fact and to demonstrate the circumstances of the relationship from the date of the marriage to the present date, and to demonstrate any circumstances surrounding the end of the relationship, if it has ended.

We scanned the photos 2 to a page and wrote the dates and place under each. We used this method for all of our applications to USCIS without any problems.

What's an "original" photo? Unless you send the negative or slide, anything you send is a copy. A lot of people don't use film anymore, so they have no option except to send a copy. Even if you're using film, I doubt the adjudicators have the equipment to easily view and interpret the negatives.

If you're asking whether the copy you send needs to be a copy made on a photo lab machine using photo paper and chemicals, the answer is no.

For the I-129 and AOS we made color copies of pictures glued to sheets of paper with captions. I didn't have any problems then.

This time I printed a color copy of several pics on one sheet of paper with captions.

At this point they have previous documentation to compare to. As long as the photos are clear and you both are fairly recognizable then I doubt you will have much of a problem. I think the paper trail is probably more important to them (i.e. joint statements, assets, etc.)

Best wishes!

Kathleen
