where is everyone!! now Left won most of the south east (rather east) india seats in politic!! hopefully better changes comes along!!

TimeLine

December 8 2004: Filled I 130

Jan 27 2005: approval and priority date which was Dec. 30 2004. NOA1

March 2nd 2005: Received visa processing fees and Affidavit of support fee Bill IV

March 5th 2005: Send fee bill via Registered mail.

March 7th 2005: Got message that they have received the Fee bills and in process to generate the I864 and DS 230.

Long wait of period then:

Exactly 25 working days later

April 26th 2005: Got package at lawyer office.

April 29th 2005: Got DS 230 Signed from my spouse from India.

May 1st 2005: Mailed express(Fedex) overnight the package.

May 5th 2005: Case completed.

May 11th 2005: Case sent to Indian US embassy(Mumbai)

Waiting for interview date now.

YEAH...Finally.. the date is here.

July 13th Interview(Exact two months after case completed at NVC and sent to Mumbai Embassy)))))

June 20(approx) Police Clearance.

1st July Medical!!

13th JULY Interview and APPROVED!!!

HAPPY REUNION on 18th of JULY after 7 months and 5 days of Sending out the I 130 to interview approved!!

17 July Got Letter 797 for Green Card issuence!

28 July SSN Card.

8 August Green Card recieved.

05/03/2005 NOA1 for I-130 CR1

10/28/2005 NOA2

NVC Timeline

11/15/2005 - NVC case number assigned

01/04/2006 - NVC completed the case... ( 50 days)

01/11/2006 Case sent to Embassy

01/16/2006 Case deliverd to Embassy as per DHL tracking

February 7th, 2006 Found out Interview date by Calling DOS (202-663-1225)

February 13, 2006 - Packet 4 received

March 21st, 2006 - Medical

March 23rd, 2006 - Interview --- VISA APPROVED

March 24th - Passport received. ( Applicant picked up passport from Courier/delivery service office)

April 7th - Hubby's POE at Chicago.

April 10th - Trip to SSA Local office to apply for Social Security Card.

April 27th - 1st Welcome letter

May 1st - 2nd Welcome letter

May5th - Received Social Security card in mail

May 11th - Received Green Card in mail

196 Days @ USCIS ( 178 for NOA2 + 18 case transfer at NVC)

50 Days @ NVC to complete the case

13 Days @ case transfer at embassy

65 Days @ Embassy

Total -324 days from NOA1 to Visa approval

Folks, in DS-0230 form for Question 16 & 17 whose information should I write (Is my parents or her parents information)

For Q.16 and 17 , it requires Father and mother's name and Birthdate with current address ?

Though not, sure whose whould I provide (my parents, yaa my wife's parents)

Hi,

The Form DS230 is for collecting BioGraphic information of the beneficiery( the one who is seeking immigrant visa).

I believe you are USC and have applied for you wife. So, you need to write your wife's parents information on Question 16 & 17.

Yamini is the latest one to give more recent solution to problem!!

But also make sure you provide information like in their passport too because they will check those info as well.

It sucks that India is loosing since last two matches!! Need Sachin and Ganguly in now!! what do you think guys!!

congrats on the new job. I am looking for a new job as well, currently my job is in a very small town so that really sucks. I m trying to see if i can find something in Dallas. I too am in IT field (Software Developer)

sorry i been gone, my uncle and aunt are here from INdia so just showing them around.

hope everyone is well.

No more people for mumbai??.... that's really surprsing!!!

Dallas is the really good market now!! I thought of going there too but then got job in Houston!! Good luck.
