Where is everyone!! haven't seen anybody, Lomesh, AP,YamSam!!!

TimeLine

December 8 2004: Filled I 130

Jan 27 2005: approval and priority date which was Dec. 30 2004. NOA1

March 2nd 2005: Received visa processing fees and Affidavit of support fee Bill IV

March 5th 2005: Send fee bill via Registered mail.

March 7th 2005: Got message that they have received the Fee bills and in process to generate the I864 and DS 230.

Long wait of period then:

Exactly 25 working days later

April 26th 2005: Got package at lawyer office.

April 29th 2005: Got DS 230 Signed from my spouse from India.

May 1st 2005: Mailed express(Fedex) overnight the package.

May 5th 2005: Case completed.

May 11th 2005: Case sent to Indian US embassy(Mumbai)

Waiting for interview date now.

YEAH...Finally.. the date is here.

July 13th Interview(Exact two months after case completed at NVC and sent to Mumbai Embassy)))))

June 20(approx) Police Clearance.

1st July Medical!!

13th JULY Interview and APPROVED!!!

HAPPY REUNION on 18th of JULY after 7 months and 5 days of Sending out the I 130 to interview approved!!

17 July Got Letter 797 for Green Card issuence!

28 July SSN Card.

8 August Green Card recieved.

Super busy at work and busy home taking master classes.

How do you all feel about the Immgiration debate?

It's great actually!! one of my friend had done K3 because Ir1/CR1 process was way slow but his wife hasn't got interview call so hopefully he gets now!! but so far busy at work as well!!

Thats good that you going Master!! I am doing same thing too!! two more semester to go!! are you doing it online!!

05/03/2005 NOA1 for I-130 CR1

10/28/2005 NOA2

NVC Timeline

11/15/2005 - NVC case number assigned

01/04/2006 - NVC completed the case... ( 50 days)

01/11/2006 Case sent to Embassy

01/16/2006 Case deliverd to Embassy as per DHL tracking

February 7th, 2006 Found out Interview date by Calling DOS (202-663-1225)

February 13, 2006 - Packet 4 received

March 21st, 2006 - Medical

March 23rd, 2006 - Interview --- VISA APPROVED

March 24th - Passport received. ( Applicant picked up passport from Courier/delivery service office)

April 7th - Hubby's POE at Chicago.

April 10th - Trip to SSA Local office to apply for Social Security Card.

April 27th - 1st Welcome letter

May 1st - 2nd Welcome letter

May5th - Received Social Security card in mail

May 11th - Received Green Card in mail

196 Days @ USCIS ( 178 for NOA2 + 18 case transfer at NVC)

50 Days @ NVC to complete the case

13 Days @ case transfer at embassy

65 Days @ Embassy

Total -324 days from NOA1 to Visa approval

yup, looks like that too that everyone is enjoying time in US :)

also yeah it does take two months after the packet gets transfer to India

Well I was busy at work and new apt and so forth, but wife is schedule for end of May. Yeah Mumbai is way too behind, I did DCF still will end up like 4 months after its all over.

I guess she can schedule her medical on monday if interview is on thursday or that's too late? any suggestions as she is still under maiden name, not sure it matters in usa, but don't feel like spending money on getting that changed here unless its worth it?

Like always few more questions from me, but this forums is like a hangout of friends, maybe we should get together one day after wife gets here :)

I am sure Bombay embassy might be using last week of last Month (For Example. January) as a cut off date for scheduling the interviews for next month (For Example. March).

I think when it comes to scheduling the interviews, Embassies might be allocating few percentages to each categories. And you know, There are lot of K3 applications compare to CR/IR applications as everyone wants their spouses to be in USA ASAP. That could be one of the reasons waiting time for interview is way longer than expected.
