My husband now has his passport back in his hands with the VISA STAMP...

Somehow, The courier service had the wrong phone number to deliver.. Hey wake up guys,.. You need to deliver passport to physical address.. I don't know why they were trying to reach my husband by phone even before attempting the delivery of passport. They had the correct address.

Luckily, my husband went to that courier services office, and picked up his passport from that office without paying anything extra.

Congratulations Yamini.

Does anyone know if the interview order is in sequence of BMB#s. I checked those numbers for month of April and it started with 200600xxxx and ended at 2006003xxx and my wife's is something like 2006005xxx.

Does anyone know when will be the interview?

Also, does anyone have any idea on how to get pcc and clearance from passport office (ahmedabad, gujarat) before getting the interview letter. My wife needs to get the pcc from 3 places (she lived prior to marriage) and I have known of an instance where the time between the letter and interview was less than 15 days.

This hardly leaves me any time, if it does happen this way.

Any advise on both or either issues?

Thanks VAGuy and Lomesh....

I think the embassy must schedule the interview based on the date they must have received. I am sure they also have allocated different percentages for different visa types, ( immigrant, non immigrant, employment, etc.) And that is why the embassy must have stopped at 2006003XXX.

They are posting the list sorted by BMB case #, so it is much easier for us to find an interview date for our case ( unique BMB case#).

I can not give you much information about how to get the PCC from passport office. But I would suggest that you call DOS - 1-202-663-1225 and choose options 1-1-0 to talk to visa specialist. DOS has all the details about your case at any embassy. If the embassy has scheduled an interview, DOS will be able to give you the scheduled date. I would suggest that you call the DOS in the first week of April, to find out if you have in interview in MAY.

Thanks Yamini and Karenros.

I pray its in May and everything goes fine. I am sending over my affidavit of support, phone bills, email, chat, tax returns, bank letter, bank statements, job letter. Am I missing anything? Anything that I need to keep in mind regarding these documents? Any hints, ideas?

I think I am thinking too much, but this is making me nervous.

Another question in this post as this posts gets the most response.

I have filled out I-864 for CR1(DCF), but I did not file for taxes for 2003, 2004 (no job :( ), just filed for 2005. My salary is above 125% of the required, so should I be on the safe side and get additional sponsor?

If I do, it could be my parents and I do not live with them(not even same state), and I looked at I-864A it says that it should be a household member. Does anyone has any advice on if they can be additional sponsors? If so, do they need to file 864 and 864A separately (both mom and dad)?

Any links, posts, suggestions?

Thanks Thanks Thanks

Hi VaGuy,

For your 2003 & 2004 tax returns, you can submit a letter explaining that why you were not working. Also, you can attach the tax transcripts from IRS for 2003 & 2004, which will show that you were not required to file your taxes.

Most likely, consulates will be interested in your recent tax returns ( 2005) with employment letter, recent pay stubs & w2.

But, just to be on the safe side if you want to have your parents as a joint sponsor, they can fill out I-864 with supporting docs. They can not use 864A - which is a contract between household meber and immigrant.

Let me know, if you have any additional questions.
