My fiance was there for K1 interview on March 13 and after brief interview which was pleasant he was told to come again for another interview on May 4th and given a 221(G). No documentation was requested or missing just told to come back. Imagine the frustration!!

Here is the detailed info about my husband's interview at Bombay Embassy

His interview was at 8:30, he was there around 8 am. When he entered, they took his appointment letter. They kept pilling up letters on top of his papers.. So, this is something to watch out... He kept waiting waiting and waiting. Finally, at around 11:30 or so, one lady called him for Document verification. That lady briefly looked at the documents, and asked him to wait until his number is called. Finally, at 12:15 or 12:20pm, his number was called, so he went to the consular. The consular checked the papers, and asked him few question. Interview was for about 5 - 6 minutes.

When did you meet your wife.

He said, we met three times before the engagement.

How often do you talk to your wife?

He said we talk frequently via Internet and telephones. We chat/talk every day via messangers and we talk over the phone frequently. Also, we exchange emails everyday tooo.

Then, CO asked what messager we use?

He said that usually, we use Yahoo or MSN messanger.

The, CO asked for some wedding pics.. My husband show him few pics.

CO, asked how many people attended the wedding? so, he also show him few of those pics as well.

That was it. He was told that his passport will be mailed to him in few days. ( For Bombay embassy, you have to pay for the courier fee at VFS before the interview)

Actually, i was never worried about my I864, as My income is over 200%-300% the poverty line.

But, i was very worried, as i have not changed my name after the marriage, and i spent very very little time with my husband after the marriage Only 4 days. I got married on 3rd, and I was headed back home to Chicago on evening of 7th. And also, My husband has a very very common last name (PATEL).

This was it for us.. We are all set for the next two years untill Removing the condtions.

Finally, I just want to say thanks to everyone for the support during this immigration process.

Yamini.....
