December 8 2004: Filled I 130

Jan 27 2005: approval and priority date which was Dec. 30 2004. NOA1

March 2nd 2005: Received visa processing fees and Affidavit of support fee Bill IV

March 5th 2005: Send fee bill via Registered mail.

March 7th 2005: Got message that they have received the Fee bills and in process to generate the I864 and DS 230.

Long wait of period then:

Exactly 25 working days later

April 26th 2005: Got package at lawyer office.

April 29th 2005: Got DS 230 Signed from my spouse from India.

May 1st 2005: Mailed express(Fedex) overnight the package.

May 5th 2005: Case completed.

May 11th 2005: Case sent to Indian US embassy(Mumbai)

Waiting for interview date now.

YEAH...Finally.. the date is here.

July 13th Interview(Exact two months after case completed at NVC and sent to Mumbai Embassy)))))

June 20(approx) Police Clearance.

1st July Medical!!

13th JULY Interview and APPROVED!!!

HAPPY REUNION on 18th of JULY after 7 months and 5 days of Sending out the I 130 to interview approved!!

17 July Got Letter 797 for Green Card issuence!

28 July SSN Card.

8 August Green Card recieved.

yeah man by all means you are eligible for that even i did get refund when she was not here and i did file with F7 form but now will file joint so hopefully get something out from IRS :)

Looks like the link for the Mumbai Consulate guide is not working anymore. If anyone has a copy saved on their computer, please upload it. I am trying to find it, but I think I don't have it anymore.

Why not apply for both, and take the best. Immigration is like a roller coaster, up and down, who know which one will be the faster.

Feb 28--Mailed I-130 to NSC which was forwarded to CSC

March 18 --received I-797c, dating March 1st, believe this is what people are calling NOA1

March 27 ---Waiting for approval (NOA2?)...

April 06 ---Waiting for approval (NOA2?)...

April 17 ---Waiting for approval (NOA2?)...

April 20 ---Waiting for approval (NOA2?)...

April 29 ---APPROVED

NVC timeline

May 18 2005, case # assigned

May 23 2005, Affdavit of Support and Immigration visa fee bill sent on may 23rd to the attorney of the record.

June 18 2005 IV & I-864 FEE delivered via USPS, signed by H. Horn

July 15 2005 DS-230 and i-864 received

July 22 2005 NVC received DS-230 and i-864...waiting for case to get completed

Aug 25 2005 Found out RFE(w2 is missing) is coming by talking to NVC Operator

Sept 5 2005 Waiting for letter

Sep 12 2005 RFE received at NVC

Sep 14 2005 RFE in the system...........now just wait!! :( :(

October 21, Case Complete! Waiting on Case transfer to India!

November 7 Case delivered by DHL at Consulate, according to DHL website

Nov 29, 2005 Waiting for an interview

Dec 11, 2005 Waiting for an interview date/response from consulate

Dec 13, 2005 Interview date is assign...January 18..YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Dec 31, 2005 Medical date: January 6 2006

Jan 6, 2006 Medical complete

Jan 18, 2006 Interview.....VISA Granted

February 13, 2006 - Packet 4 received

March 21st, 2006 - Medical

March 23rd, 2006 - Interview --- VISA APPROVED

March 24th - Passport received. ( Applicant picked up passport from Courier/delivery service office)

April 7th - Hubby's POE at Chicago.

April 10th - Trip to SSA Local office to apply for Social Security Card.

April 27th - 1st Welcome letter

May 1st - 2nd Welcome letter

May5th - Received Social Security card in mail

May 11th - Received Green Card in mail

196 Days @ USCIS ( 178 for NOA2 + 18 case transfer at NVC)

50 Days @ NVC to complete the case

Yeah, ask her to file as soon as possible, coz VSC is rocking right now..

I have seen VSC approving I130 in just over a month. Last week, i saw one VJ member got approved in just three days. I was very upset, as mine took nearly 190 days at CSC.

You never know, when one of this center slows down...

Hi guys,

I had few quick questions...

NVC send the case to the embassy in the beginining of the month. So, what do we get next for CR1? Packet 3 or Packet 4? Coz, i think packet 3 is for Non immigrant visa only.

Also, when my husband went to get his District Police certificate, they asked him for the embassy letter? Coz, as long as i understand, DCP should not need any embassy letter at all..

Yeah you do need letter from embassy to get the Police certificate you have to have letter from Embassy. Just let him know that go to the consulate and get the letter and then pay some mony to police station he will get his cetificate within two weeks instead month and half!!

Hi Yamini,

If you have submitted package 3 from here then he will get packet 4 in india which is about getting pCC passport clearance certificate,m medical, and marriage cert, and proof of relation ship llike photo album(etc)

And yes, we did submitted DS230 Part 1 to NVC, so now we will get Packet 4 from Embassy.

So, technically, he will have to wait untill he is scheduled an interview for the PCC.

I will be calling DoS in the mid February to check the status of his interview.
