I left it for like 10 minutes and it never did anything. I'll try it from work tomorrow. It might be my computer although I don't know why because I have the flash player installed...

Ayyyy it is soooo confusing! Much more confusing than Live journal....

Yeah Friendster is much easier to use IMO.

I have a myspace account to keep up with a couple of bands but was probably better off not as the interface irritates me greatly. Plus I can never figure out how to download the song previews they post anyway. (I can't even find the songs usually!)

The whole thing is an exercise in frustration that I'd rather avoid. ;)

I hope you figure it out though! :)

I tried to get into it and just couldn't.

It's HUGE in my high school - in the district it's been banned - so it's impossible to access it from any school in this county. DEFINITELY dangerous the amount of stuff kids disclose on there.

Also scary as to what content you can find. For a project I did some research - there are terrifying sites, including sites that STEP BY STEP tell people HOW to be bulemic or anorexic, how to cut themselves and hide it, I mean it's appalling to me.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Seek something and it will be on the internet! It's all out there somewhere, thanks Mr. Gore!

What's really scary is that most kids now are better at surfing the web and doing things online than their parents are. Kind of like in the '80s when you had to find a five year-old to open those new "kid proof" pill bottles, or find a ten year-old to set the clock on your new "digital" VCR. Kids are always going to know how to do stuff their parents might frown on, but, that's how they get tough enough to survive in the real world.

I read an article the other day that said something like 250,000 people a day join MySpace now. That's insane!!! But, think about the possiblities too!

As far as the music goes, if you have dial-up.... (first of all, crawl out of your cave and into the new millenium) don't even think about getting music or profiles with a lot of $#!^ on them. They will take FOREVER to download. Also, at peak times (right after work, US, and weekends, worldwide) the whole website is slow because the 2 million people that just created profiles that week are checking to see if they have any new friends. If you have a good connection, go to the main page and click on the music section. Do a search for the band or group or whoever you're looking for, access their page (and add them as a friend... how cool are you when your favorite big-time musician is on your friends list!) then click on the song you want as your music. You can also find a remote server and load the code from there... but once again you're probably going to have to find a ten year-old to help you out.

Have fun.....

You guys have some cool profiles! Don't be scared to drop by and say hi!

I used to live in Belleville! What an awesome place!!!

Can you sense the sarcasm???

I was at Scott for about 3 years. That's actually not a bad area at all. Close enough to the 'Lou, but far enough away to not get shot. Can't beat that.

Keep reppin' the ILL STATE 6-1-8!
