My most even tax return ever

Since I couldn't really drag my feet much longer on the tax returns, I sat down and did those darn taxes today. I dragged my feet in the first place 'cause I thought I'd owe a little something to Uncle Sam. Thus, no urgency to get it done.

Now that I'm through, I am very pleased to announce that while I owe a little to Uncle Sam, the state of OH owes a little back to me. It works out that between the feds and the state, I owe a whopping balance of $9.00.

I can live with that...

reinhard!!! geoff asked why we got thousands back!!! i told him it's because i'm terrified of ever owing!!!

although, since this is the 4th yr i've rec'd thousands back ... i think it's fine time that i start claiming at least 1 exemption on my W-4's!!!

I guess I shouldn't tell you that I got over 6K back... 600.00 from NC and the rest federal...

I had a bundle coming back and the check never did arrive. I can't even complain until the 14th and then it will be another 6 weeks for the F....ing government to be able to use my money for free

Yeah, I just kept my money throughout the year instead of lending it to the feds for nothing.

I had larger amounts coming back to me the last two years because of getting married in '03 and the stuff surrounding my getting laid off in '04, but other than that, I usually owe a little. I'll be damned to lend my funds to the feds for nuttin'!

The first year I had to pay taxes.....I ended up writing a check for a dollar.

I proceeded to get very drunk and roam around the dorm telling people about my "CHECK FOR A DOLLAR!!".
