Hi: This should mean that the INS sent your case to the National Visa center for processing. If this is an online message you received, you should soon recieve an a I-797 NOA telling you where your case was shipped. I think they are all sent to the National Visa Center in New Hampshire but I am not sure. They will give you a phone number where you can call to learn your NVC status. However the automated line as I see it is never updated. You have to speak with a person to get your real status and this is not easy. Our case was at the NVC for about 20 - 25 days. At this point they are doing a security clearance and then they forward your finances VISA to Guang Zhou China (if your finance is from Mainland China). When the NVC completes their process they send you a letter with a consulate Case Number telling you that they have forwarded your finances VISA to China for processing. This is the step we are at now .. and also where it gets fuzzy.

For K-1's, the NVC (and yes, all K-1's go through the NVC) does not do any processing at all - no security clearance, nothing. It acts as a clearinghouse only, and should stay there for only a day or two before they forward it on to the appropriate consulate. You should (but not everyone always does) receive a letter from the NVC letting you know they have forwarded it on.

You can call the NVC at (603) 334-0700 to confirm that they did in fact receive it. You need to talk to a human being (it won't be in the automated system) and you will need the case number that is printed on your NOA1 and NOA2 (three letters depending on your service center, and a bunch of numbers).

My VISA was forwarded to NVC and when I called they told me directly that it was going through security clearance. It was there for 2.5 weeks before being sent to China.. I don't think the lady would have lied. The automated line can be reached at 603-334-0700

Hey guys,

can you help me to understand about the same message what author posted: On July 25, 2013, this approved or re-affirmed case was shipped to the Department of State for visa processing. If you have any additional questions, please contact the Department of State.

I've read everything here, so, that means the petition going to NVC right now....clear.....but what about the NOA-2 letter? or mail....smth....after NOA-1 we got this message..!

Should we wait for NOA-2 still ? (electronically and letter) It will come after this notice, right?

Or maybe this is smth wrong there?

please, i need help!
