She's about as provocatively dressed as the women in Boo-Yah's avatar. Are they $2 hookers, too, Boo-Yah?

I think it's mostly that airlines have a policy of adhering to passengers' stupid requests in the interests of comity in the air.

I saw her and her mom on the Today show.

First of all the girl and her mother are dog ugly. I would have told her to cover up because she is scaring the passengers.

Second of all, Southwest reserves the right to kick somebody off their airline. If they don't want a $2 hooker on their airline, well that is their choice..

Now if they kicked Jessica Alba off, I would be protesting for her..

The next time I am tempted to take anything you write on here seriously, I'll look at this post and think, it's just not worth the time.

 That's a hideous outfit, and I'm not even referring to the length of the skirt. The girl in the first pic should take lessons from the girl with the green halter dress in the second pic.

Follow along, charles. His pic doesn't bother me in the least, but I'm not the one calling women two dollar hookers for wearing, well, more clothing than the girls in his avatar.

Sheesh Charles, do you really not get it? I don't believe for one moment that Caladan is bothered by the avatar at all. BY came out with some absoulte BS but that doesn't seem to figure on your meter at all. Laughable really.

I hope they get slamed with a nice lawsuit. That is just rediculess.

1. Whether or not you find the girl and her mother "ugly" is a matter of opinion. One person's beauty queen may be another's fixer-upper, or so they say.

2. While Southwest Airlines does have the basic right to remove whoever they want from their flights, they must have a legitimate reason. When an airline performs an IDB ("involuntary denied boarding"), they need to report it to the FAA. This usually doesn't look too good on that particular airline's record, so more often than not, airlines will attempt to keep that from happening. If they do need to remove passengers, they'll usually call for volunteers (aka "voluntary denied boarding" or just VDB), in which case, nothing is reported to the FAA.

It should be known that IDB situations are more common on regional carriers (United Express, Continental Express, Air Canada Jazz, and so on) that fly smaller jets and turboprops. How an airline decides when and when not to perform an IDB is virtually unknown to the public; in fact, some people theorize that even within the airline industry, there is no set standard. Travelers have suggested that IDB cases are more likely to occur at certain airports, with certain regional carriers, if the flight is oversold, if the passenger is NOT a member of that airline's frequent flier program, and what the overall price/class of the passenger's ticket is on the flight.

In both IDB and VDB cases, passengers will be compensated in various ways -- meals, new flights, hotel vouchers, etc. Unfortunately, this compensation does little to help when a passenger has a limited time frame for a trip.

So all in all, because a woman was dressed in attire no more revealing that what the average high schooler wears to class, I doubt Southwest Airlines could remove her for that. However, Southwest could always "add" to the report that gets filed with the FAA, stating that the woman was "causing a disturbance" in addition to her scantily-clad wardrobe. Even though that may not be completely accurate, it'd be the flight attendant's word (along with Southwest itself) against the woman, and since it's it's likely the majority of other passengers on the same plane live scattered all over the country, they couldn't do a whole lot to assist her (if they wanted to even get involved).
