nice up-skirt shot on the today show

Picture this: You arrive for your Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) flight early. You manage to avoid packing excessive amounts of liquids in your carry-on baggage. You remember your ID, you wait until your seat is called, you stow your bags properly. You're even prepared to turn off your electronic devices and stow your tray table and put your seat in its upright and locked position when ... you're asked to leave the plane because you're showing a little too much leg.

Haha! What is this, 1951? Nope. It's 2007, and a few months ago waitress Kyla Ebbert (who works at Hooters, where scantily-clad is a good thing) was escorted off a Southwest Airlines flight from San Diego to Tucson because her outfit -- a miniskirt, tank top, and cropped sweater -- was too revealing (I don't see any cleavage and she was wearing a bra). She put up a fuss and was eventually let back on the plane after a lecture on her dress, or lack thereof.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

That's ridiculous! OK, I take it back because I now get it. The Southwest Airline flight attendents were jealous (dahamn reject models and flamers). I'm sure there will be a lawsuit pending...

A second young woman has come forward to claim that Southwest Airlines Co. employees made her cover up on a recent flight.

Setara Qassim told KNBC-TV in Los Angeles that a flight attendant confronted her during the trip from Tucson, Ariz., to Burbank, Calif., and asked if she had a sweater to go over her green halter-style dress.

Qassim, 21, said she was forced to wrap a blanket around herself for the rest of the flight. She complained that if Southwest wants passengers to dress a certain way, it should publish a dress code.

1970s: Southwest Airlines experiences a dramatic jump in ticket sales when its flight attendants start wearing white go-go boots and hot pants. The airline adopts a new motto to match (”Sex sells seats”) and begins serving in-flight drinks with names like Passion Punch and Love Potion. Same damn airline–they must have forgot their history of “sex sells seats.”

......

This could be some kind of clever marketing ploy - I believe that both women work for Hooters. Hmmmm....

It seems to be passenger complaints, which means some people need to pull the sticks out of their asses. Honestly when I first read a summary of this article I was expecting the women would be showing a lot more skin.

First off, she is hardly dressed TOO sexy. There is nothing exposed. Secondly, no airline has the right to enforce a moral dress code on passengers. I've seen people on airplanes wearing t-shirts with highly offensive slogans and no one said, "boo." But a lady with a nice form boards who is not afraid to display a little pride in how she looks is chastized? Southwest made a really foolish mistake and now, probably, will be giving this lady a few upgrades to first class.

I hope they get slamed with a nice lawsuit. That is just rediculess.

I saw her and her mom on the Today show.

First of all the girl and her mother are dog ugly. I would have told her to cover up because she is scaring the passengers.

Second of all, Southwest reserves the right to kick somebody off their airline. If they don't want a $2 hooker on their airline, well that is their choice..

Now if they kicked Jessica Alba off, I would be protesting for her..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.
