So, I had my interview yesterday.... and ALMOST there!

In Costa Rica they ask you to provide Single Certificates stating that you are single and free to marry, from anywhere you've lived since 16 years old. Similar to Police Certs.

Unfortunately my Costa Rican one has been held up, and wont be ready till March 26. Guess it's wedding season in CR? ;)

Nevertheless, the consul said everything else was perfect, and that if I had the paper, he would have given me the visa on the spot...#######! So I have a 221(g) denial till I return the paper, and then the consul said they'll issue the visa straight away.

I posted a full review if anyone's interested :)

Good Evening Sept’s filers

Finally, we have an interview’s date 4/25, and I will be there in 3 week to celebrate our engagement’s party “before an interview’s date”. The most things I’m worrying about at the interview. This is my second K1. Please share your opinions, so I can well prepare my case at the interview.

My previous fiancée and I did not work out. Therefore, I was dropped my K1 (Jan-2007) at the Consulate before they scheduled an interview for her. Here are the questions; I’d like to ask you all.

1. Should I let my current fiancée know about my previous one? (Such as, name, age, when, how we knew each other, when I filed and when I withdrew)

2. What should I prepare for an interview since I am there? I’ll bring all evidences; I mean everything about 5 inches thicker (papers).

Your info will help us a lot. Thanks for all your helps. Good luck to all of us.

Best regards,

I think you probably should have let her know about your previous fiancee long before now, but to answer your specific question, yes. Absolutely. They will ask her about it. If there's a question they would conceivably ask her, you'd better let her know.

2. What should I prepare for an interview since I am there? I’ll bring all evidences; I mean everything about 5 inches thicker (papers).

This is a really broad question. Did you look at your consulate's website to find out everything you need to bring? You need more than just the evidence...your consulate's website and your fiancee's packet 3 will have the information you need.

Congrats to Eric and Mox and George n Aaiz for getting your interview dates. I will be leaving next Tuesday to Manila to join in on the wonderful interview experience (I've heard that it could be close to a paid admission Disneyland ride. For some reason, I think it is because of the long lines and wait). Hopefully, things are good for everyone.

Ack. :( At least it's out of CSC though, huh? I mean, it's still a long wait but at least you know your file isn't stuck in name check or something. Hang in there!
