Actually I'm not seeing any August CSC approvals. There's a lot of approvals for those who received their NOA1's in August, but if you look at their sent date, they're July filers. There are some August approvals through VSC though. Come on Cally, let's knock the dust off those August boxes!

Mo, click on Immigration Timelines at the top, and then "View K-1 Visas." Click on the arrow next to the NOA2 column to sort by the latest NOA2's received. That's how you can determine the latest NOA2's. If you want to only see specific service centers, go to the bototm of the page and choose the pulldown for service centers. For a correct total on CSC approvals make sure you look at Texas and Nebraska service centers too.

Thanks Mox for the clear explanation. That makes a lot more sense. but now I am wondering how you are able to see the actual sent date vs. the NOA1 date. I do not see that option (I am quite visual...and I just don't see it). So how do you know that the first "Actual August Filer" was approved? Thanks!

Look at the column that says "I-129F Sent." It's the 5th column from the left. If you sorted by NOA2 date (most recent to least recent), you'll see that 6 rows down "Carina & Cameron" sent their I-129F on 8/27. You could also sort on "I-129F Sent" but that's a bit more cumbersome, you have to click through several pages.

My question is wouldnt it matter more when the recieved date on people's NOA1 was rather then when they sent their petition? If this is true then we are well into August. Maybe brightside again? I cant help it!

Not really. I sent my petition on September 12, and it was received September 13. My NOA1 date (the date they issued the NOA1) is November 1. Some people put the NOA1 date for the NOA1 date, and some people put the received date as the NOA1 date. So we look at the sent date, because it's really the only consistent date we have.

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Thought I'd alleviate some of my waiting anxiety with some mini analysis, so here goes.

So far this week, 23 approvals, 16 of which are CSC. Not too shabby considering this should be a slow week, but instead we're roughly on course to meet last weeks totals, which were pretty danged good.

I'm a little disappointed CSC haven't dipped further into the August crates by now (still only one August approval for CSC), but it does seem that they're heading into the finish line with July with a full head of steam. I'll be surprised if we don't start seeing regular August approvals next week.

I'm still optimistic that January is going to be our month. The August and September filing base combined is half the size of all the July filers, and USCIS busted out most of July within about a month.

Hope this info makes your holidays happier!
