Take a look for those of us that are STILL waiting for our NOA1's!

As of September 14, 2007, USCIS has completed data entry and issued receipt notices for applications and petitions received on or before the dates indicated:

California Service Center

Form Number Date Received

I-130 8/08/2007

N-400 7/26/2007

All Other Forms 9/06/2007

That means, since the last update, within ONE WEEK they've only gotten one day further ahead! We mailed our I-130 on Aug 7th, will be at least 2-3 more weeks at this rate! Something that normally takes approximately 10 days! What a mess!

This is ridiculous !!!

I have mailed mine out on Aug. 21 which means for me it will be another 2 months before I see my NOA1

:(

Well they obviously don't care, they don't know what its like being seperated from your loved ones

Good luck Jen !

Good luck to you too! It's soooooooo hard being away from Jim, I know we'll get thru it & we'll be that much stronger (as I don't know who could go thru all this then throw it away)...

I posted my I-130 application to CSC on August 9th, it was received on August 10th. We got our letter from CSC a few days ago on September 10th, with the check having been cashed the week before on September 5th. So don't despair, i think your NOA1 must be on its way.

Also, I believe that there is a mistake in the dates for the CSC on that pressrelease, here's why. The previous press release had the date for I-130 listed, just like this one, when I first checked it. When we got our NOA1 I returned to check those dates as according to the pressrelease we were not in range. That press release had been altered, with the I-130 date changed to say I-131, which is quite different. Meaning that the I-130 was instead falling into the category of 'all other'.

Married: 08/05/2007

You K3 petitions won't be receipted in NSC, so ignore that All other forms bit. It will be forwarded to CSC or VSC depending on where you live, and they will issue the NOA1, so look at those dates. Not that those are any better.

Cheers

I posted this question on another thread but have not as yet received a response so will ask here since it seems somewhat relevant to this discussion;

Does anyone know why when USCIS publish their weekly updates via the USCIS Application and Receipting Update that only certain forms are specified?

For example:

California Service Center

Form Number Date Received

I-130 8/08/2007

N-400 7/26/2007

All Other Forms 9/06/2007

The reason I ask is I notice a gap on the VJ timeline search from 8/08/2007 to 8/25/2007 for people not receiving NOA1's on the I-129F petition at CSC and wondered whether the I-129F petitions are included in the I-130 data and not 'All other forms' as I'd originally assumed.

I'm a relative newbie to this process and am not sure how things stand with the forms. I'm an I-129F applicant but I understand that the spouse visa requires submission of the I-129F as well as the I-130. If the I-129F application is included in the I-130 data then the date appears to make some sense with regard to the gap in NOA1 receipts as noted above from the timeline search I did.

I would be grateful for any enlightenment with this. Trying to make sense of a very confusing process :P

Hi all, I think that the situation is this: they are just grabbing app's off the pile, not even looking at the postmarked date whatsoever...remember, kelzm mailed their app after us & already has their NOA1...

If you sent your app to the wrong place, they're not going to know until they open it, then they'll forward it to either CSC or TSC (if it's the I-130/I-129F).

USCIS updates their "annoucement" every Friday usually. I have added my email to their website to be informed of any news regarding anything added to their website. I do check frequently, hoping that some new news will be added, always being disappointed in the end.

this is like a ####### shoot, never know what's going to come up...good luck to everyone...

I hope you all get your notifications soon. It's awful waiting just to make sure they've recevied the actual application!

I find this whole 'frontlog' situation a bit bizarre. Surely they realised that putting up the fees was going to cause this rush of applications, why didn't they arrange their staffing so that it didn't cause this absurd mess?

Worst thing is, waiting for NOA1 is just the start of it. I'll keep my fingers crossed that checks get cashed and letters get sent asap.
