I know the new fees are $1,010.00 which includes the I-485, I-765, and I-131 but if we decided not to send in the I-131 or never apply for it do we or can we pay less? I read the instructions on the I-485 but it really doesn't say anything concerning this. Since don't want to apply for the I-131 why should we pay the total fee of $1,010.00? It seems like they are forcing everyone to pay more even though many are not applying for the I-131.

If anyone has any info on this we would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

Charlie

Nope, you'd still have to pay the same price so it's worth it to include those applications.

That is like stealing. Example, if someone married someone from a foreign country and they have no family, don't own land or have a business and have absolutely NO reason to go back why would anyone want to pay $305 for I-131. That is just not right to make people pay for something that they either don't or won't ever use.

Just my opinion of course.

You have to think that there are people who got stuck in FBI name checks for years, literally! And they had to pay again and again and again to renew their EAD & AP. At least now you're covered while your pending for all this.

Yes it's expensive and it might seem unfair when you think about it as subtracting the AP fees, but they could have done the increase without including the AP & EAD and then you would have had to pay extra for all those things. The fees were going to rise anyway.

Who knows, you might need it some day, it doesn't hurt to fill in a few more papers at that point, if it's included, why not get it anyway.
