The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

I received my NOA1 Today in the mail on 10-05-07. The Notice date is 10-03-07.

My check was cashed 10-03-07.

For all of those who sent their I-129F on the last week of August to CSC. You guys should be getting your NOA1's soon.

Congrats! Did you get the correct 'received date'?

Babblesgirl, In our application, we didnt get the correct 'received date'. When we check our status on line, it is showing us october 2nd as a received date, and check was cashed on october 4th. We know through USPS that the package arrived CSC on august 20. What could have happened?

Sorry, I misunderstood. You are saying the online system says 'we received your petition on October 2nd'? That's normal, your case number and the webpage for your online account was created October 2nd. The guys are right it is the 'received date' on the paper NOA1 that is important.

Thank you for your reply everybody. We have not received yet our NOA1 in the mail. We will check the date that they received our package at CSC mail. You can check the status of your application online at the USCIS website. All you need is the case number from your NOA1. You probably won't hear much for a couple of months or so as currently the service centers are working on April/May petitions. When they get around to looking at your petition, they will either approve it and send you an NOA2 or they may need further information and send you an RFE (request for further evidence).

It would be a good idea to look at the K1 flowchart in the 'guides' section, this describes the whole process for you.

Good luck :)

Finally our check was cashed! Still waiting for NOA1

Where are all the August filers?

Hello Natsman, I am glad to hear that your check was cashed!

I bet most of August filers are just waiting for NOA2 now, so nothing much has been going on...

Maybe we will be quiet until January/February? I am hoping to get NOA2 by the end of January!

But yes, let's everybody stay in touch
