AUGUST I-129F FILERS UNDER CSC

Hey August filers. I was just lurking around today and thought I'd put in my $0.02. And just remember, that's all it's worth is 2 cents. The averages I believe are 150 days from NOA1.

IF (and that's IF) CSC continues processing at the average rate they have been for the past three months (about 6 approvals per day on AVERAGE-and I've accounted for holiday time off), then the approvals should be as follows:

They should be finished with July by the end of January.

According to my calculations, there are approximatly 45 filers from August without approval. That means that they should basically be finished with the August cases by February 8 or so.

That's just a guess, assuming that there are no RFE's. If you get an RFE, your case will take a little longer.

I'm not a math whiz and this is just something I've been working on in my spare time. I hope you all get approved FAST because that means that those of us behind you will get approved quicker, too. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know that which date has often been a debate, do you use the date printed on your NOA 1 or the date you received your NOA 1. If I am to use the receipt date on my NOA 1 well I am almost at the 150 day mark, however if I use the date my NOA 1 was issued, well then that is looking at another 44 days added on bring my approval time around March 1st  in looking at many of the stats it is from the date of file you can see the 150 day mark the most often. I do not think I will stay calm waiting another three months

You should really use the actual "received" date printed on your NOA1. The reason is that this is the only firm date that you can compare to other filers. For example, I filed in September 13, but didn't receive my NOA1 until 6 weeks later. Someone else filed August 1, and received their NOA1 a couple days later. If you were to compare our NOA1 dates, you might assume that the August filer would be approved before the September filer because they received their NOA1 first. But USCIS have said that they process applications based on the date they receive them. Therefore you should be calculating times based on the received date, not the NOA1 date. Hope that makes sense. :)

You are right Mox. About Date Received in Mailroom USCIS says: "USCIS will honor the actual date that an application was received in our mailroom; this date will be indicated on the receipt (in the Received Date box) when Form I-797, Notice of Action, is mailed".

Yes you are right, thanks and I remember seeing this some place before on their website. I called them to today to get clarification, originally I was thinking of doing the ref trick, but remember I had some other question to ask and knew customer service was not able to help me. The lady was very nice and even said that my receipte date is 8/14 not the date of NOA 1. So hopefully 150 days is coming around the corner for us

The processing timefram is June 18, 2007 now..for k1, k2 & I-485 ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh plz ppl keep praaaaaaaaaaaying :crying:

and thats a lil statistical numbers to think about:

K1 cases in CSC from June 18 till July 31:

Pending: 227

With NOA2: 159

Still waiting NOA2: 68

and if they approved at lest 6 per day..they should be done by January 21st (and I only counted business days..which would take them 11 business days to finish all that hassle grrrrrrr) and make every body smile

Lucky5: thanks for the updated. I think August filler will see approval before that. Some of the June/July fillers may have RFEs or other things which may delay them. Essentially, I am trying to get to the point that processing is not strictly sequential in temrs of output. They work by received date but each case is different and may take different amount of time. they should be August cases soon, if they haven't already started.

Do you know if the country of beneficiary is a factor?

Interesting we applied around same time and got our NOA1 around same time.

I sure hope they start kicking it in the tail pretty soon, because we have acquaintances who got approved last week, and they filed 8 days AFTER us in August. Naturally, they are at the VSC. It really stinks when you have to try and explain why that is to a crying fiancee 8000 miles away. It's getting so that every time we talk about immigration at all, it just ruins a perfectly good conversation because both of us get depressed about it.

And let's not even get into the acquaintances who somehow managed to go from filing to interview in 3 1/2 months, even though they filed 6 weeks after us. I wouldn't even care that much if only I could provide an explanation. But I can't. I don't think there IS one. Once we get that NOA2, I think everyone's mood will improve. At least there will be something to talk about then. Sorry to complain.

Don't know if this will help....

On a website in China devoted to immigration, we found a woman that claimed they not only mailed/submitted to CSC in the month of August, but got their NOA2, on December 28th!

We are all cheering for those that can get through this process, before and after your dates... good luck to all of us at CSC!
