I have have known my fiancee about 2 years !!! I filed in may.

I got the receipt on may 12th from CA , I have attorney , have had no reply back , is now 4.5 months .

Anyone know why ? This is taking so long ? Why are we taking longer then the historical trends for others for same visa listed on this site ????? Is there anyone know any way to spend things up? my attorney says cant do nothing until 30 days after the posting date on the immigration site from California .

Anyone, a congressman or senator ( :

Yours is taking no longer than any of the rest of ours. The entire process just got terribly slow these past few months. Many attribute the slow-down to increased fees at the end of July. But who knows. Looking at your timeline, you should be approved in the next one to two weeks. Just hold tight.

2007:

February - May: extended visit to States, engagement.

5/4: I-129F sent (Texas Service Center, forwarded to California Service Center)

5/11: Petition received at California Service Center.

5/16: Check cleared. NOA1 online (no hard copy received yet)

6/19: NOA1 hard copy arrived FINALLY

7/16: Sent off for Police Certificate (U.K.)

8/22: TOUCHED due to phone call (RFE Trick, was told case wasn't assigned yet)

9/20:APPROVED!!! After 127 days from NOA1 and 139 days from filing date.

10/23: Spoke to Kelly at NVC who said they should have received our petition by now. She advised I send a copy of our NOA2 directly to the NVC office, which I did immediately. :-)

10/26: NVC RECEIVES CASE!

10/30: NVC SENDS CASE TO LONDON CONSULATE

11/1: Consulate receives case in London AND sends out Packet 3.

11/6: Sent Packet 3 to Consulate (we'd downloaded the forms on VJ and had them completed already)

11/22: Appointment for Medical.

2008:

01/08: Interview scheduled for 10 a.m. APPROVED!!!

02/01/08: Stephen comes to America!!!

Petition processing has slowed down a bit in recent weeks. Your timeline shows that you should be approved around the end of this month. It may be sooner it may be later. There is no way to know for sure.

If you receive a RFE, you will be delayed for a few weeks.

The best thing you, and all of us dealing with USCIS, can do is accept from the very beginning that this entire process involves a lot of waiting and really there isnt a thing any of us can do about it except deal with it. I found that counting the days and weeks often just made it worse. Try to keep yourself busy and moving on with life...

Hang in there :)

I wish everyone their NOA2s..and after that no more long delays.. Sometimes I've tried so hard to move on and stay busy but my SO is always in my mind and never was a moment that I don't think of her.. and whenever I do think of her, i just want her so bad to be here already and be together for the rest of our lives. It really doesn't have to be such a complicated process.. it's just taking such a long time.. which really makes it hard to bear but must face the test and challenge.. Sometimes its so hard to keep telling my SO the same thing over and over.. that it will be alright.. it will come soon...that they have't forgotten us.. when I know it's all on me because I'm the one who is so far away and putting her in this situation..and nothing I can do to speed things up even for just a bit.. I always remind her that if the road ahead may not be so easy, my love for her and our love for each other will lead the way.. and see things through.. to everyone.. WISH YOU GUYS THE BEST..and a SMOOTH JOURNEY..
