Hey All!

I got this notice along with my Visa bill and thought that maybe some of you could take advantage of this promo especially heading out to MTL for your interview or wherever you may need to go with VIA.

'Use your Visa card and save 35% on adult regular fare in Comfort (economy) class (excluding taxes) AND 50% off the already reduced fare (excluding taxes) for children ages 2 to 11 when you book online.

Offer valid for travel until November 30, 2007 and available only at visaperks.ca'.

Hope someone can take advantage of this promo!

Cheers!

I actually did use this promotion a couple of months ago and here is what happened.

I booked online and it actually worked out to be more than the super saver fare (I had chosen the 'regular' fare as this is what is required for this promotion). According to my calculations, the regular fare with discount should have been cheaper.

So I called via and asked about it. they said that the 35% is off the 'High Season regular' fare, not the 'off season' fare that they were currently displaying. I said it says no where in this promotion that it's off the 'high season' fare. The guy agreed with me, but we did the math and it was as he said.

So I contacted their head office and was told the same thing. About 2 hours later the guy left me a voice mail that it was indeed a mistake and they would be issuing me a refund for the discount (35% off the regular fare that was currently displayed) - which they did.

Hopefully by now they have fixed this!
