I called the 1800 number to ask why I still cant track my I-130 though it has been a month. The guy said I will never be able to track an I-130 for a concurrently filed application, I will only be able to track the I-485 app. Seems they dont even know what is supposed to be tracked or not. No wonder the system is not getting updated the way it should be.

On a different note, am I missing anything by not seeing the I-130 status? I mean if there is movemenet for my case the touches will show up on my I-485 right? And the I-130 is adjudicated together with the I-485 when it gets to my local office

You can track an I-130...but there's not much to track. The only touch we had on our's was on our interview date, and when they sent the approval notice. So I don't think you'd be missing anything - most of the touches are on the I-485.

The 800 number is basically just a call center. They're staffed by people who give responses based on a book that they have in front of them and the limited information they see on the screen. They are not immigration specialists so one must always take the info they provide with a grain of salt (or maybe a whole salt shaker full)!
