Hi everyone,

I am about to send application, and I am not sure how suppose to looks cover letter? What is that? Please help.

I have another question too.

On the form I-130 there is a question:

13. If you are citizen, complete the following:.....We check Naturalization.

My husband is the citizen, and he was married before and that way he got his green card and later citizenship.

Question 14. If you are lawful permanent resident alien, complete the following: so he is not, we put none or N/a

And then there is a question 14b. Did you gain permanent resident status through marriage to a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. Yes or No

Do we need to answer on that question considering that is 14b, what should we check, just leave it or put N/A or check yes (since he was married before) but he is now citizen not permanent resident.

Please help.

Thank you so so much

I assume you are filling for AOS and adjusting from an other status than K1 or K3 since you are filling for I-130 as well, although that's not clear. If it is the case your guide will be: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=i130guide2

Here is a link to a cover letter for K1, just adapt it to fit your needs: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Cover_..._for_I-129F.doc

Yes, obviously he is a citizen through naturalization.

14b. the answer is yes. You said it yourself, he gained LPR and then citizenship through marriage.

I don't know what you have to say on 14a, technically he is not a LPR anymore, so I would say no, but maybe someone else can tell you their opinion.
